Car Audio

It is an 1800 watt rockford fosgate punch, mono. I have the bass turned all the way up, as well as the gain, but it doesnt sound like its hittin right, it still hits, but not as much as it should. Whats the problem? The sub is bridged on the amp, giving it more power (i guess?). Friends hooked it up, I dont know the first thing about subs, any info would help. Here's the site 4 the amp (says P6001db on amp).

my cd player is compatiable with cd-rw but the problem is if i erase the cd and reburn it it wont play. it will play a fresh cd-rw but not an erased. if it helps i burn mp3's and erase using the d drive

i just purchased a power acoustiks 2.0 farad capacitor for my expedition. when i looked at it i didnt know were the rem. wire goes into the top. If you are familiar wtih this brand and model would you please help me. link to example

Im not sure were it goes because all there is on thh top is the terminals covered in the plastic case. If you are familiar any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

I just bought another amp for my 2 subs and right now i was told to run 1 power wire and spilt it and send the signal both ways one too one amp one to another the problem is my wiring is only rated at 1200 Watts and my amps are 3200 max since ive wired it it hasnt seemed to have gotten much louder maybe a decibel or 2 and i think it should be more because i just added another sub and another amp anyways i was just wondering if that is the way to do it and just get bigger wire or if i should maybe use 2 power wires...any suggestions will be apreciated

Here is my current setup: I have two 6 3/4" Kenwood speakers in the doors. There are two Diamond subs in the hatch, bridged on a single channel Alpine 700W amp. I'm going to get a new 2000W 2 Ch. amp for the Diamonds, and I'm also getting replacements made by Kicker for the factory rear panel speakers.

The replacement Kicker speakers are 250W handling capacity, and they are a Midrange speaker. The question is, how do I go about hooking the old Alpine amp up to these smaller speakers while still having my larger amp for the subs?

last night i was driving and my radio started cutting on and off and my lights went dim. so i pulled over and my car just died on the side of the street.i called a tow truck and picked it up and they say its the amp that caused the alternator to give out. i have had the amp hooked up for 4 months and its just now doing this. is the amp the cause or just a old alternator?

I installed a car radio on my 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer. The probem is that after the installed the radio, it never powered on. I know the radio works, because I took it out of another car. It's a 2005 Kenwood Model which costs about $300. Anyway the center console lights are not working anymore. The lights by the PRND are not working. The lights on the air conditioning buttons aren't working. The right side marker light and the right parking lights aren't working. I checked the fuses, but they don't seem to be blown. The radio wiring is done with a retailer recommended harness, so I don't think the wires are crossed or anything. The radio has an automatic flip down face, and it's not powering up in any way. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I wanna purchase a pioneer DHP 5870 MP3 palyer with OLE dispaly...etc with JBL GTO 0937, 6*9 3-way speakers for the rear.
for my new Alto...does it work good????
suggest me the best of speakers/Audio system/tweeter for the front. and also the size and shape of the rear speaker box...etc.
as this is my first entry towards my car audio systems...

I've gone through all the pages of speaker boxes...I could'nt get the exact size N shape of the box which fits my car...and also wanna know what is polyfill???

ive already got my subs and amplifier installed... but when i turn on my amp and headlights at the same time the subs turn off im pretty sure im not creating enough power... i tried a power cap. and it made the subs sound terrible... is there a way to fix this? i already put my remote wire ona rocker switch so i can turn them on and off when i stop the car... when im already rolling it isnt a problem i can turn them as loud as i like. should i run my amp directly to my alternator or can i buy a bigger alternator...do they even make them for a 91 crx si engine? I have a 2000 Ford Explorer Limted AWD w/ a premium stereo ... the display used to work sometimes and then it wouldent...Well now it is working most of the time...But today my mom drove it and she said that is wasent working but she said when she left the store it did....very weird... I have 6 speakers and two 12inch subs. the two subs are running off an amp, the speakers are not. Every once in a while it gets into a mode that isn't something I put it in. When it gets like this, usually i can turn the deck off then back on and it will go away. However sometimes I can't get it to go away, no matter what I do. When it gets like this it sounds like everything is very distant, also I feel like what sound there is, is like 90% bass. But not bass like it usually is, it's like 50% of what it would usually be, but is 90% of the sound. I can't make out words, or any other parts of the music. I can turn the volume up and down, but the weirdness only gets louder or quieter. Sounds muted, sounds muffled. HELP ME FIGURE IT OUT!!!!

I'm pretty satisfied with my current stereo setup, but I haven't yet replaced the rear factory speakers. They are a 6 3/4 inch speaker, and I'm looking for something that will provide a sort of midrange sound. I feel like my current setup has tons of bass in the back and tons of highs in the front, but right behind my ears (where the factory rear speakers are in a Camaro) I hear nothing.

I'm basically just looking for a 6 3/4 inch speaker that isn't focused completely on highs. Suggestions?
