I've never heard of a cap needing a remote wire. The remote wire should go to the remote connection on the amp.

That's an awfully large cap for 2 Farads. My 1.5 is about half that size.

I always get a kick out of the term "digital cap", no such thing. Now a cap with a digital readout, sure.

The capacitor will have an input for the remote wire next to the other wires. The reason that the unit needs the remote wire is so the display and lights will turn on and of with your radio. The capacitor will work without the wire, but you won't be using it's display features. And be careful with capacitors; they are designed to store a large amount of power that can be drained very quickly. Never let the terminals or any the wires connected to them short to each other. Good luck!

More than likely the remote wire is there to just power up the display. A cap is a charging devise therefore you don't turn it on or off. Maybe check the manufacturers website.

The remote wire does not wire to the cap. It remains where it is.
