Depends on the watts RMS of the amp and subs and whether the subs are SVC (single voice coil) or DVC(dual voice coil) and the impedance (ohms) of the subs.

Provide this information, and you'll get a better answer.

It depends on the amp and the handling of the subs.

If the amp is 2 channel, you're probably fine. If it's a one channel amp which it probably is, you'll have to bridge them.

If the amp is too small it will cut out when you turn your volume to a level where the amp can no longer power the subs.

I'm using an Alpine 1Ch. 700W amp to power my 2 12" Diamond subs bridged... Not a good idea. I just have this setup to get my by until I get my 2000W fixed. With the 700W amp, the subs are underpowered so the sound is distorted and the bass isn't as tight as it is with the more powerful amp. The subs also cut out when I turn the volume above 25 because it isn't powerful enough.

If I were you I'd get at least a 2Ch. 1000W amp.
