depends. i have a indash as well and some people say that you can just keep it grounded as a ebrake source, myin i cant. I was reading about them and some indash stereos are allot different than others. I tried simply grounding my ebrake wire and it did not work. That is a jenson indash though. I think brands such as alpine can jsut be grounded. I just kept myin the way it is cuz im my expedition on the top of the ebrake there is a ruber contact that touches the contact switch. When i want to use it during driving i can simply pop out the rubber plug and push the contact switch on the ebrake wiht my finger. I guess it depends on the type of vehicle you have. simple..... get a simple switch, hook one of the poles on the switch to ground, and hook the other terminal to the wire on the dvd player that is ment to be hooked to the e-brake wire.
