No, if all you're doing is replacing speakers. Make sure your new speakers will fit before you buy them though. When you install them, take extra time on mounting and connections, nothing worse than having your new speakers crackle and buzz.

You will need a speaker harness to connect an aftermarket speaker to the harness that unplugs from the factory speaker. You can get a pair of them at any audio shop for around $7. You don't really "need" them though, you could always cut the plug off and crimp the wires onto the new speaker, but you have to make sure you get the speaker polarity correct or else it will sound horrible. "Pop" the speaker with a battery..."pops out" correct. The colors won't be the same for each factory speaker so keep track of the location of the wire on the plug.

Good luck.

I have previously installed new speakres in multiple cars. Depends on the type of speakers youa re installing i guess. Some speakers such as sony have square notch connections. They come with the connectors and all you have to do is cut the old factory wire off the speaker and strip the wires. Crimp the new wires that came with the speakers if there are any and simply put the one the new speaker. I like to sure up the connection with some electrical tape and thats it. good luck

you will choose a speaker harness to connect an oem speaker to the harness that unplugs from the manufacturing unit speaker. you will get a pair of them at any audio save for around $7. you do no longer possibly "choose" them however, you need to consistently decrease the plug off and crimp the wires onto the hot speaker, yet you're able to desire to confirm you get the speaker polarity fantastic in the different case that's going to sound terrible. "Pop" the speaker with a battery..."pops out" fantastic. the colours isn't the comparable for each manufacturing unit speaker so save music of the region of the cord on the plug. sturdy success.

If you want to make things easier, do what Vegas said, buy the harness and things are a breeze to change. Plus if you get the harness you don't have to worry about one of your connections coming loose.
