I disconnected the battery, bought the wiring harness, connected the wires, and tried to install a new stereo but it still won't work. I think it is something to do with the door. Any one have any idea why my radio won't work. At first I thought it was my radio but I got another one and it does the same thing. Its not the fuse I already checked that. My factory radio works but not my new radio. Need Help Thanks.

As long as you have the ground, power, and the blue accessory wire attached your radio will turn on. Only mess with these 3 wires to start. I had to run new wires from my fuse box when I replaced mine.

you did re connect the battery right? go back and check your connections on the harness, also some gm cars use the attenna as a ground too.

take the cd player out. open your hood to the battery. connect the red wire to the + terminal, the black wire to the - , and then the yellow to +. if it doesnt fire up, its the head unit itself. if it does fire up, then you have some sort of wiring problem.

good luck

I think the moron may be you. Only aftermarket radios with 'S' or 'E'(shallower models) sized chassis will fit the dash properly. Here's a link to the dash adapter needed.
