OK there are many ways to fix your problems. the cheapest way to fix the bass vs. highs is to adjust your amp. Meaning the gain adjust your amp at the volume u like to ride around at. Or if u want to do it right buy a cross over, an EQ and some more highs and another amp. not Sony they really do suck, kenwood, MB Quart, Polk are all good brand i would but offline i get all mine stuff off the Internet. Now to stop the dimming of your lights you gotta spend sum money either get a spare batt. and run your system off that or get a cap and add another alternator. I'm in the army and i help friends and family put together systems so i got alot of experience in this matter i feel if you gonna do it u might as well do it right. i hope and pray I've helped you out if u need some more help feel free to email me. stay blessed

So you've got a huge amp and big bass speakers and stock speakers otherwise and you are surprised the bass is overwhelming?

Replace the stock speakers with something that can take a lot more power, get an amp for those speakers too.

Direct wire the system to the battery via a fused 6 AWG wire.

Direct wire the amps separately to the battery with 4 AWG wire.
