definatly a power wire connected directly to the battery, my suggestion is to double check your installation if you installed it, or take it back to who did.
bassically whats happening is that instead of the power wire to your navi system being put on your ignition power source, its placed on your battery power source.
fact: when the car is running it recharges the battery, therefore if the power line to your navi system is connected to your ignition power line you allways have juice WHILE THE CAR IS ON
when the car is off keys are out the only power source you have is your battery which still has a charge to help with the start process of your car.
therfoe if your power line to the navi system is connected to your battery directly, it will kill the battery, if it connected to the ignition power line then it will allways have juice, and so will your battery

Does the nav. system work even when the key is out of the ignition? If so, you probably messed something up in the wiring.
When you install an accessory, you get power from two types of circuits:
"Always hot" (the circuit is on 24x7 even when the key is out)
"Hot in run" (the circuit is only on when the car is running)
Check your manual and make sure you hooked em up right.
If you hook to "always hot" when you're supposed to hook to "hot in run", then the gadget will never turn off, so it'll drain your battery.
Meanwhile disconnect the battery under your hood every night until you can fix it. It's REALLY BAD to drain batteries dead... do that about 8 times and they're junk.
