My car dealer is a buy here pay here place and I have been very good at paying the payment everytime. But I dont want to call & ask them this question due to they are rude. I dont know where else to look to see if I can or cant. I already checked with my other car (I have 2 cars) dealer and they said it was fine. I always call my payment in over the phone on my debit card. I just want everything to be legal.

We're getting rid of our Land Rover Discovery next month. The payments are too much. We're looking to spend about $350 a month or less with no money down. I don't know where to begin looking. Can anyone recommend their SUV? Thanks.

The public seemed to get blamed for driving uneconomic cars when the manufacturers are the one's pushing them, particularly American industrialists. I see that Ford is releasing a semi/soft SUV, more friendly 4 wheel drive not always engaged. I wonder why when obviously we are going to have to downscale our cars or face not driving, and then I see the real reason - it's £20,000. This is for a slightly bumped up Ford Focus. The profit must be big on this. Time for the government to step in. I personally want a small easy to park car with great acceleration, no need to go above 80 mph. Brilliant ride and handling, very low noise levels, very safe, very economical, fantastic adaptable internal space, very comfortable inside. Loaded with Sat Nav and all the toys. Do we get this? no it's too easy just to make cars bigger and double the price. Doe's anyone agree? Or am I on my own on this.

I currently have a Chevy Cobalt ('05). I bought it new, but have always had minor, mostly aesthetic problems with it (the silver trim on the inside is coming off, minor rattling under the hood, etc.) It has great gas mileage and is strong enough for a little car, but my parents, who paid for the car, are urging me to invest in a new one in case the Cobalt goes to crap quicker than it already has.

I am very interested in the Hyundai Tiburon, but I've heard bad reviews as far as power go. A Mitsubishi Eclipse is also a potential for me. I was also looking at Dodge Avengers, but for the most part the options aren't what I want, so we'll stick with the first two.

So, from anyone who has a little experience (not just reading reviews, I can do that too), mainly out of my '05 Cobalt and the '07 Tiburon, which would be better? Keep in mind that I know neither may be perfect - but if I have to decide, will I be better off w/a Tib. or will it work out the same as my Cobalt?

I'm a college student and I have to drive 54 miles a day. I currently drive a 1998 Explorer Sport and the gas mileage is killing me (around 16 mpg). So what is a good car for under or right around $12000? Thanks for any help!

I'm a college student that drives over 50 miles a day, and I need a good reliable car that gets good gas mileage. I've pretty much narrowed it down to these two because of the gas mileage, price, and reliability of these two companies. So I'd like to know from people who own both of these, which is better? Or if you have a better option what is it? Thanks for any help!

Should I trade ASAP or make payments to get more equity in it and then trade it? Or should I try to sell it myself and start over again with the profits? I know the longer I wait the less it will be worth.

Last year, my boyfriend bought me a car. I can't drive so he thought I could have a practice in the car he bought me. He knows I am scared of learning to drive so he said I can learn once I am ready. But the other day, he talked about doing it up and selling it! I know this might sound crazy but this hurt me as he said it was mine and I want to be able to drive I just need that bit of confidence to push myself. He used to push me and now he wants to sell it because it's "sat there collecting dust." Why would he encourage me one minute and then suddenly tell me we should get rid?

My sister and her husband both have new trucks. She is no longer working. Each one of them pay $500 a month a pc. truck notes.
She is very upside down in hers, is needing to get rid of it.
Her payments are $535. monthly for another 4 yrs.
We are discussing giving her my 97' GMC Jimmy and then just taking over the payments(still in her name ) . She owes $19,000 and the truck is Blue Booked @ $11,000.
We wouldnt put it in our name... just leave it in hers. So she wouldnt hurt her credit..
What is your opioion?

It's a really nice car, from what I can see. No apparent damage except some cosmetic touch-up issue on the paint on the hood. The carfax report shows no problems. It was orginally bought in New York, then it was sold in Pennsylvania. 19 days later, it was auctioned off in Florida. I am now in Dallas TX. Here is a link to it:

http://www.autotrader.com/dealers/dda/detail.jsp?car_id=227543920&dealer_id=396745&car_year=2006&dealership_view_name=www.automerchantsinc.com&result_car_id=null&search_type=used&first_record=26&sort_type=make_modelASC&pager.offset=25&cardist=25

Even though the carfax report shows nothing wrong with it, carfax isn't always completely accurate. If I'm not a mechanic, would it be wise to find one to inspect the car before I buy it? If so, where can I find one and about how much would it cost?
