i am working as a software engineer, and i would be travelling approx 60 km daily. And once in a 2-3 months will go for a long drive. thiking of a petrol car is good for my usage ?, my budject is upto 6 lakhs, please suggest me with your expert experience. With in my budget is there any other petrol / diesel car survie my purpose. am mainly intested in low maintenace and fuel efficiency.

.....with leather seats and 172,000kms on the clock. Is this likely to be a tired old donkey or can I put my faith in Mercedes' fabled engineering? (Can't decide whether to bother travelling 150 miles for a test drive)

So my parents were looking at the van that they liked and we made a deal with the seller. We gave him the down payment and would pay the full amount in a few days and pick up the car. He later called us the same night that we had made the payment and told us he changed his mind to sell it. Is there any legal action to getting him to sell the car? We had spent a lot of time researching and a lot of gas driving to his house to check out the car and now he does not want to sell it. Any way we can still buy it?

I sold a motorcycle as a private seller. The bike worked fine when I had it. I sold it thinking it was as-is. I got a call 3 hours later saying it broke down on the side of the road. He wants me to pay for the repairs. I agreed to go and look at it, and to try to repair it. Am I responsible for this? Please help!

I've requested the credit bureaus to remove/fix parts of my credit report so that hopefully my fico will go up. I want to get my fico as high as i can before applying for a car loan/lease. I usually put less than10k miles on my vehicles per year. I own a 2001 toyota mr2 with less than 40k miles. I plan on selling it and putting the money down on a purchase if i don't qualify for a lease.

I have been car hunting and the salesmen treat me like an idiot. When I was married, the hard part was the negotiation. Now that I am single there is no negotiation - the salesmen arent cutting me any deals at all! Even when I tell them thats the problem, they still dont offer me any money off their prices.

I know which car I want, have good credit and a good down payment. I wont argue to try and get a few hundred bucks off, I'll walk away from them because its obvious that they dont want to treat me the same as the couples I have spoken with that have purchased the same vehicle that I am looking at.

Any advice for handling these salesmen? so far honesty doesnt seem to work! thanks much for any pointers you may have for me
