okay so i got a job that raquires me to have my own car... i dont have any money or anything to trade or any credit... so i dont think im going to be able too. once i start my job i will be making $400 a week so i could afford a payment, but how do i go about gettting it so i can make the payments? i dont have anyone to co-sign with me, im on my own. im also a girl, who is 19!!! help me!!! im really responsible and will make the payments! the company i'll be working for pays for my house and gas, so the $400 a week is for food and my car payment, i dont have any other bills...

I have finally decided that for my family's comfort, i am going to buy a minivan. I am looking in to buying a 2006, used Dodge Grand Caravan, preferably Black. If i have to drive a van, i would like it to be black. I want people, that have owned minivans to tell me their opinions on them. Are they really comfortable, is the Stow and Go worth it? Opinions on the installed DVD players, can everyone see the screen?? Would you buy another, and if so what would you get different on it? If you think, black is a bad color choice, please tell me why. ( i am not worried about dirt showing.) Are they easy to handle, easy to park? I will be installing a child booster seat, do they fit well? Bench seats, or captains chairs in the middle row?? I prefer the captains.Does it really matter? Is the oil easy to change, or such a pain that you have to pay someone to do it? Have you been in an accident in one, what were the safety features like? Anything you can shed some light on, would be most helpful.

I'm planning on buying a used car and I've done most of the research already. I know that the salesman is going to sneak his price in somehow, but I was thinking that if I could get him to lower the price on the car, I was thinking he would try to make his profit by cheating me in the finance department. I was planning on getting a private loan from my bank and not let him know so that I could spring it on the salesman once he's got the price lowered on the car. So I was asking for suggestions on the best way to get him to lower the price on the car itself

I just bought an 07 Silverado. They are supposed to install a bedliner and side steps through the My Chevy My Way promotion,
They said they would call me in about two weeks to have these items installed.
But yet they didnt have a form for me to sign or that they signed saying these items would be installed. Do you think they are going to try and screw me or am I just paranoid.
Its a big dealer here in Phoenix AZ.

I'm either looking at buying a 97-01 model Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra or a Ford F-150 with less than 110k miles. I'd like to know which one is the best and I'd like some tips on a good model year and engine/transmission? How many miles can I get out of a particular Truck until it fails?


All I know is the GM Vortec is good!


Also, I'd like to know if the 4X4 trucks are durable and will keep me out of the mechanics garage, or should I just buy a 2-wheel drive and weight down the back during the winter?


I'm the type of person who buys older used cars that are in good shape and drive them till the wheels fall off of them. Four years ago I bought a 1990 Toyota with 117k miles for cheap, and now I have 220k miles on that Toyota. I'm hoping for the same luck with my new truck!

what is the mathematical formula for calculating the advance car dealers use. I know its based on credit worthyness, loan amount, downpayment and so on. but does anyone know the formula...meaning multiply this times that and so on.

i would like to buy some used car . about 2000 dollars or so . can be driven daily. then fixed up a bit at a time. including new interiour fabric and all such things. the idea being i could drive it daily regular car speed 200 or 300 month on repairs and end up with some car that i can sell for more money after a number of years.
does this sound do able or what and if you think it can be done what kind model of car would you suggest . i am in ontario canada

I'm between the Matrix, Prius and the Fit (but I can't talk myself into paying over MSRP for a car). I have test driven all three. I do need some room to put stuff in but with the price of gas rising up I'm thinking the Prius might be a good bet. What's your experience? Thanks for the input

I am really frustrated right now....I just got a car about 2 weeks ago, my father put it in his name cause he has better credit than I do.... well just yesterday He gets a letter in the mail saying that... the loan has been denied because of "low credit experiance"??? What the $#&@!!!

How hard is it to buy a car after bankrupsy. I mean like right after I get the discharge papers? I want to know the interest rates, what kind of down payments they want. I could have up to 2000 down but I prefer not to dip into my savings. Leave that for a rainy day. Any help is much appreciated.

I am starting to look for a used car, and have been trying to decide between a site such as Ebay (where I may travel a distance to pick up vehicle from a dealer) and Craigslist (where I would purchase locally from an individual). I have a strange question regarding purchasing a car from an individual locally:

Apart from research, inspecting the car, etc., that is suggested when purchasing a vehicle from an individual, would it make sense to change the locks and keyless remote system (fob) on a car when purchasing? I have never heard of this before, but I have this fear of a scammer perhaps selling a car locally giving one set of keys/remote, and then "stealing" the car back simply by going to where the car is parked and using another set of keys/remote?
