Please, stay away from the neon. The head gaskets blow very early. Antifreeze leaks and they smoke profusely.
DON'T LISTEN TO THE DODGE GUY!!!
Of course, he's going to tell you how reliable they are cuz he wants to sell you one!!

i own a repair shop,and these aren't bad cars i know of a lot of these going right now with well over 200 k on them,and still haven't blown head gaskets yet,i think a lot of was in the owner ship of them and them way they was drove,i have a sister that bought one,and she loves it,it has been really good ,and right now approaching 50 thousand ,with no problems what so ever,so its not always the cars but a lot of it falls on bad maintenance,any car will tear up if you don't keep it maintained really well,good luck i hope this help,s.

I have a friend who I know for a fact races his car and he has had it for at least two years now with no major engine troubles. Also in my opinon it has a very smooth ride for a car with such a short wheel base.

Do yourself a favour and check Consumer Reports on the vehicle..... they do not accept any advertising and are immune from bias in that regard...
