I'm going to sell my car and pay off what I owe on it. What do I tell me finacing company once it's paid off? Will they give me the title and then I give it to whoever buys the car from me? Or do I tell them to put the title in the other person's name?

my brother got a car last may and my sister cosigned for it. Now they are finding out the car place put the car 100% in my sisters name. My brother is paying for the car out of his pocket but my sister is getting the credit for the payments. Also my brother traded his tracer in on the car and they put the car in her name and the car was under his name. Because the car dealer lied to them what can they do to legally straighten this mess up? He wants the car in his name but no one will refinance it because of his credit. Is there a place that they can file a complaint against the car dealership? thanks

I am switching jobs and will lose my company car soon. i need to buy a car now. here are my problems



- i travel 750-1000 miles a week ( i do get paid for my mileage 13 cents) after 40 miles
- i get a $ 300 car allowance monthly
- i live in nj so car insurance rates are high.
- in the end i will be getting around $600-$650 a month for a car( note, insur, gas, maint)
- i dont want a chevy ( i had them as a company car and i hated them)
- i own a ford focus which i like and i had a sentra which i liked, but i live in the mountains and there is a lot of snow.
- hyundai tucson? i rented one and i loved it only it gets 22 mpg.
- is a hybrid worth the extra money for me to save on gas in the long run? ( and the envir.)

How likely are you to be able to finance a car if you have a down payment, are NOT employed, but have money coming in through unemployment and settlement checks? Is bank financing available or is "buy here pay here" a better option?

It's me again-and I'm posting about the new Ford Escape(original post 4 hrs ago) that I'm suppossed to pick up Thursday. Well I called my sales dealer and I told him that I couldn't afford the monthly payment and that what there were giving me for my trade {KBB stated 1800 for my 98 Crhysler} 875.00 was to low. 2 hours later the sales manager called and said he wanted to "re shop" my car, stating that he would get other dealers to take a look at it and higher the price. Is this normal? Thank you to all who have previously answered-it has been so helpful.. Thank you in advance for all your answers! ;0)

would it matter if i bought a car that was manufactured in MEXIco? this car was inspected in canada and expiered in sept 06 would i be able to get it regested and inspected in NY would it meet polution standreds and what not?

What do you think? of this car?
i have TWO questions: i was looking into buying this car but he said it is from canada that where he bought it from. he said that the inspection expired sept 06 but the emission inspection is still good.
1. do you think it will pass inspection in NY?
2.i checked the car fax but i didnt want to buy it yet. however it does say that it is manufactured in MEXICO does that matter????

I have a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, It has a cracked block so I want to get rid of it. I put Dana 44 front and rear axels in it with 3.83 gears. It has new brakes, a rebuilt transfer case, the body is in good shape. I have put alot of energy into building it up over the past couple years. I am moving to Wyoming in the next month and I want to start over with a different Jeep when I get there. I would be greatly apperciated if anyone could help me.

I've never understood this tactic but maybe someone else does. The car salesman goes into the back room telling you he needs to "get approval from the manager" on the deal, print out paperwork, etc. And really he is just back there having coffee or whatever and purposely taking a long time. Why do they think this tactic helps them make sales?! Personally, it just pisses me off! I don't like waiting half an hour just for a guy to "print out some paperwork"...its a waste of my valuable time. I'm sitting there at the salesman's desk twiddling my thumbs the whole time thinking of all the other stuff I need to be doing...recently this happened to me and because of this and his other "salesman-like" tactics I got pissed off and decided not to buy the car (I was on the fence about it but that pushed me towards not buying).

I've been thinking of trading in my 98 Sebring{which I owe $700-} for awhile-and yesterday I was at the dealership and now I will own a new (06 Ford 4wd escape that I pick up thursday..Well the dealership claimed in there ad $3500 for any trade in- not exactley true. I had no down payment and on the finance work sheet he said he had to put in 4477 down so the bank would approve the loan? The total price of the car was different than listed in the paper-($3500 added to 14,799)anyway the 06 Escape has 7,741 miles has 2 years maufacture warranty and my payment will be 342.10! I have no idea about dealerships or what I should look out for-any suggestions or does this look like a bad deal? Thanks!

I purchased a used car from a dealer and the dealer did not do everything they agreed to do to the car before I took possesion. Because of this, I now have a non functioning vehicle 3 days after taking possesion, I live in Missouri.

I am planning on purchasing a Mercedes C320. I want to know if the C320 is a better can than the C240 and the C230. I'm sure the AMG C32 is the best out of all of them but because I can not yet afford the C32 I am optioned with the alternates. Are there a lot of modifications for them? Are there turbos, supercharger kits what not. I have built import tuner cars for a long time. Race/Show. I want to upgrade to a benz. Not all race, just look elegant, nice, and have the nuts to get up and go when i need it. Please reply. Only serious answers please. Thank you.

I have an '88 Ford Taurus station wagon. It's a great city car and hasn't given me much trouble, but this fall I'm going to college. The thing is, though, I'm going to be driving anywhere from 800 to 2,000 miles to go to college, and I don't really trust the Taurus to go through such a journey several times a year. (i.e. Kansas City to Seattle) So I need a replacement with the following features:

1) Extremely reliable
2) Enough room for two passengers and their dorm stuff
3) Reasonable gas milage (25+ mpg @ 75 mph)
4) Dirt cheap (preferably under 5K)
5) Safe
6) Decent alternator for my audio gear : ) (although I can always install a new one)

The obvious choice is the Honda Civic, but I'm certainly open to any suggestions. And yes, I take good care of my cars.
