Where I live a guy is selling a 95 or 96 Monte Carlo with 3.4 engine. 107,000 miles, new water pump, timing chain, has leather interior. Looks like a decent car. He wants $3,500 for it. Any advice?

Their both reliable. which of these cars would you get and why. I dont care about the other unreliable cars thats are "cooler or faster" cause there's a speed limit and i dont care if it looks cool. THe accord and camry look fine. I wanted to know why drivers prefer one over the other. I prefer people with newer camrys and accords but any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I just brougt a 2007 Hyundai Accent 4 door and I was used by the dealer i'm a female first time buying a car and he told me to refinance in six months because the car is 14,446.00 with 24% apr. I don't want this car anymore because it's just too little for my family and he told me this will be a good idea because my credit score was 524 and it would help improve my credit and he also told me I would be able to trade it in within four months, I didn;t know anything about bad equity on a car, I don't want a five year car note on something I don't want. Would anyone give me advice Please, If I lose $2,000 it would be better than spending thousands of dollars on something I don't want isn't it or keep the car refinance in six months and take a lose, what should I do?

My husband and I co-signed for a vehicle for a family member (mistake we know!) but we are wondering how a trade in works when you still owe money on the car. She wants to pick out a cheaper car now, and we are at a loss at what we're supposed to do and what happens. Any help?

Criteria: I want a car (2000 - 2002) but I"m willing to consider an SUV. I DO NOT want a van or truck. 4WD is perferrable but not neccesary. Decent gas milage is crucial, and it needs to be an AUTOMATIC. I also require a good crash test rating. If anyone has any recommendations I would appreciate it . . . or if you know a site where I could find vehicles that meet my criteria so I could compare.

I'm looking to get a car that's going to run me around $44,000. I know it's going to end up being more than that due to those hidden fees. I know the fees are:

State tax (CA) 8%~ ?
Paperwork fees
Licensing fee

This will be a brand new car, so I don't think smog fees apply. Am I missing anything else besides these? How much do you think I will end up paying total?

Our friend is willing to take over our 480 month payments, we never use the car and he is starting a family. It is a new 06' car so we can't sell it we financed it and we traded another car so we are upside down. What should we do as far as insurance cancel it? Can we make a bill of sale? He can't put it in his name yet, but maybe in a year or two., Any advice greatly appreciated.

My wife and i were thinking about swapping our 6cyl Dodge minivan...for a stronger 8cyl Ford Conversion van so we could tow a camper in summer. Our 2000 Grand Caravan has 92,000 miles on it...and will soon need work done to it. We need still a 7 passenger vehicle since we have kids and carpools.
We found a 1997 Ford E150 with 71,000 miles on it - the dealer will add a towing package..
For 1000.00....is it worth buying an "older" vehicle...even though it has over 20,000 less miles? We would eventually have to buy a towing package anyhow... which we would no longer need to do.
Whats better...a newer van?? - or lower miles?
Deal...or no deal??
Any pros/cons about the Ford Econoline E150?...besides gas consumption of course!.....

I'm 16 years old and much in need of a car... as you can imagine money is sort of an issue. I need a car around or under $3,000 that works and will get me from place to place. A car that looks decent is a plus too. If anyone has an idea of how much insurance would cost monthly for a car around that price with a student grade discount also, please tell me. Any ideas on a car or a way to save up some more money so i can get something above 3,000? Don't be smart @sses and tell me to get a job because I'm really busy with school and sports...thanks
