I had a good experience. I wasn't able to see the car prior to bidding ending. The seller and I communicated a great deal and they were very nice. We made an agreement that if I was the winning bidder I could back out of the purchase once I test drove the vehicle and had my mechanic take a look at it if I was not happy and if it did not reflect what was advertised. Everything was fine and the car was exactly as advertised on Ebay. It was purchased over a year ago and I have had no problems with it.

If you ever do purchase a vehicle on Ebay the seller is bound by that ad, false advertizing is a breech of contract and you can legally get your money back. Make sure to buy something close that you can check out before you bid, and that you do not have to have shipped. If you have a problem you would most likely not get shipping back, and you know how much cars are to ship!!!

We purchased a vehicle this summer. We paid the $10 or whatever it was to check the VIN number before we started bidding. We had a very positive experience. We were not asked for a deposit before seeing the vehicle, but brought a cashiers check for payment. After inspecting our vehicle, we then finalized the sale and drove it home. It was a great experience!

there are a lot of horror stories from buying site un seen, you have to know what you are bidding on. If you can't go see it, have a friend or pay a appraiser to check it out :(

Ebay doesn't sell anything, the individual sellers do, so at least check out their feedback. and never bid on a seller with no feedback (0)

I have bought a couple of cars off ebay, one I picked it up and payed cash, the other was shipped site un seen, but was very inexpensive and I got what I expected. but also got ripped by the shipper :(

eBay sells a ton of cars every day. I would say "buyer beware" on any purchase of that size when done on the basis of a few carefully managed (and perhaps doctored) photos and descriptions. If I am spending thousands of dollars virtually sight unseen, I need to have plenty of info. I have bought cars based on the information that I got online, but use that info only as a starting point.
