only you can answer what is better for you

do you need a 4x4, does it snow and ice there alot

do you want ot take trails offroad

only you can answer this Q

a rav4 is tiny, a 4x4 one would hardly use any more fuel than a 4x2 one, with the same size engine

you haveto keep in mind that there were different engines and transmissions available, you have to figure out what you want in one before you should get one

if you put two rav4's side by side the chances of both having identical drivetrains is very slim

good luck

Unless you need a four wheel drive for some reason, definetly purchase the 2 wheel drive. Yes, the 2wd is more gas efficient and has less to go wrong. If you live in a region that has snow or you plan to go to the mountains, buy the 4x4.

Toyota Rav 4 are not reliable, the ride is not smooth and noisy, brakes squeek a lot, and if you still want to buy it get the 4X2 if you don't live in an area that snows a lot, if you do 4X4 is better. I recommend you look at small suv companies though the rav4 is no good
