Buying a new car can be frustrating for everyone. My time is coming up very soon. I was just wondering if anyone had any experiences or tactics they used that got the car dealer to bring the cost down or worked out a good deal.

Ok, I know this sounds like a shallow question, but my car is a really really ugly Buick, and I'm a fairly nice-looking girl and sometimes I feel like people's first impression is that I'm white trash or something based on my car. It's really embarrassing because I'm trying to find a job and I always try to park in the back of the lot and hope no one sees me at these ritzy spas (I'm a massage therapist).
My mom is willing to GIVE me her old Ford Explorer ('97 Eddie Bauer edition), but only if I give her my Buick so she can sell it. Problem is, my Buick was falling apart on the outside but has been better-maintained and has new tires ($2500 of work just this year). The Explorer has no foreseeable repairs and the tires have a good bit of life left, I just don't know its history...for example the shocks are in bad shape but that's not really an urgent repair.

My mom won't help me with the repairs with either car, so what should I do???

Hypothetically, if I wanted to finance a 2002 Honda Accord, and have perfect credit. How much of a down payment will I have to pay? and what would be your estimate of monthly payments?

Im not asking specifically for this car, I just want a outline of what i should expect of myself by the end of next summer, when I would like to finance a used car.

I just bought this car from my girlfriends grandma about 2 years ago. I thought I was going to build it into a crazy 1/4 mile beast....SVO style 302 with GT40 Heads and some Sticky Mickey Thompsons, you know crazy muscle. But that was two years ago, and now i really dont wan't to rape this car like that, the car was garaged 28 years by grandma (it was granpa's car, and when he passed away *RIP* granma didn't wan to drive it any more so she garaged it) and has been garaged by me for 2 years. It has plate stickers from 1975! Its a 289 Model, 5 lug, A/C Unit And white/beige original pony leather. Its even still sitting on the original white wall tires! The car is kinda of avocado green. It looks dirty but if you rub it you can still see gloss. The Transmission is stuck, and so is the diff. I feel bad selling it, but i need money to fix my real race car which i use for SCCA solo runs / drif events (89 Nissan 240SX). SO...For How Much Should I Sell it For????????

I am looking to do an early termination on my Nissan lease, I still have about 30 months left and was wondering about how much I would be paying to get out of the lease. If someone has experience with this please let me know.

Also, I have thought about doing the Swap-a-lease or leasetrader type thing but have found out that I would still be liable for the payments just in case the person I sold it to, did not make the payments. I do not want to be responsible for someone else.

I have to do a survey for school, specifically for math. We are learning statistics right now. Please answer the question with vivid details.
If you had to buy a truck (pick-up), which one of the following would you buy and also include a reason why you would buy it.
Nissan,
Ford,
Dodge,
Chevy,
Lincoln,
Toyota.

NO RUDE COMMENTS. Please help me. :)

I will be 16 jan. 29th. and I want a job. I have a man that will give me a job when I turn 16 for $8.00 an hour. I am homeschooled. My mom is a school teacher, and where I live the state doesnt pay her much. My father has passed away. All I want is a used s10 or another old used vehicle so I can get to work. Is there anyone with a bit of extra cash that could help me out? I could get a good running truck with $2000. Once I turn 16, I can pay the money back plus $250 within 3 months. What I am asking is someone that has already established themselves in the world to help someone that is trying to. My email is sammychabert@yahoo.com

We've narrowed it down to GMC Sonoma, Dodge Dakota, Toyota Tacoma, or Nissan Fronteir. Ford Rangers are out. I was thinking of the Dodge, but there's a really high number of those on www.autotrader.ca which makes me think nobody likes them and are all trying to get rid of them. Anyone have any thoughts, opinions, or suggestions, I'm listening.

Dad and I were arguing because he likes the new ones better but I wouldn't have a new one and would take a '68 Shelby any day. What's your opinion?
