I have a 2001 ford taurus. It makes squeaking noise when I drive at low speed (<40 mpg). When I brake, the noise goes away. When I drive at high speed, the noise is not noticeable. I took it to the garage and they found the brake pads are one size larger than they should be. So they ground the extra portion. This didn't fix the problem. Recently I found the brakes don't brake well especially when the car starts to lean downwards (i.e. going downhill). I feel nervous that I can't brake the car when it gets out of the driveway everyday. Please help me...

I have a 2000 ford focus. The radiator is cracked and they say I need a new one. I was wondering on estimate how much that would cost.

Along with my circuit problem. I also have a short circuit that needs to be fixed. Does anyone know approx. the amount it would be for both??

I am 17 years old, and I can't get a loan for a car put in my name.

I had a truck that I paid 100% for, and I traded it in for a new truck. My dad signed a loan for me to buy this new truck, and contributed no money whatsoever to it. I will be making all monthly payments.

What is a good way, in case I go somewhere and my dad wants the truck and reports it stolen, that I can prove that I pay for the truck and it is actually mine so if he does report it stolen while I have it or trys to take it from me I can prove that it's mine?

I will be paying each payment by check from a checking account that has only my name on it. Is that good enough?

I have just recently filed a claim on my insurance (uninsured motorist). My truck was totaled at $23K. Last night a drunk driver hit the car parked next to mine, totaled that one and in turn that car wrecked my truck. The drunk driver totaled his camero and ran off last night without being identified. More than likely he will be identified, but I assume that he does not have insurance. I dont want to file another claim because I assume my insurance will stick it to me hard. What can be done either through legalities or other car insurances?

I have a 1997 V6 camaro with a 1 year old cd player installed in it. About 10 months after I installed the cd player it started shutting off randomly. I checked all connections and could not fine any fouled wires. I then discovered that when the radio shuts off, I cannot roll my windows down or use my power mirrors. I have noticed that this happens mostly when i hit bumps or start applying my brakes hard, but like I said, its completely random, sometimes it will do it, sometimes it wont. If someone could give me some suggestions that i can start looking at i would appreciate it. Thanks!

The driver side works fine, but the passenger side doesn't work at all. I don't think it's the motor since one side is working but I could be wrong.

About 1 month ago I expierenced my brakes feel as if they skip or slide when trying to stop. (I had them replaced the year before because they were low.)
So I took them into Sears auto center to have them checked out since it is almost winter time, and with snow & ice I didn't want to have any issues or accidents. Plus I have two young children who are usually in the car with me. So to play things safe it didn't hurt to have them looked at.
Sears had my car for 1/2 a day, they checked my brakes and found that everything is 100% fine.
Today on my way home from work. A truck in front of me stops short for a car in front of him. I'm going about 25 mph. I'm about 2 car lengths away & I notice I have to stop short too, so I slam on my breaks and all they did was feel as if they were skipping..I didn't slow down & I rear ended the car in front of me. It felt as if I was sliding on ice, but the roads were clear. And I know this can happen with ABS brakes...but my car does not have ABS

I had to go through my own insurance company to get the damages taken care of since the driver tried to take off before the police apprehended him. Between deductibles and rental car costs alone I have had to pay over $1000! Parts of it I've submitted to the County DA for restitution. However, if this doesn't suceed, what legal course of action can I take?
