OR is there a 1968 Plymouth Satellite Road Runner.

I'm searching all over the Internet for my mom who wants a toy model of her fiance's car, and she's telling me it's a 1968 Plymouth Road Runner Satellite. She's saying that "satellite" is a special make/ model of the Road Runner, but I'm having a hard time finding the car. i either find one or the other , either a Plymth RR OR Satellite, nothing that says both. What exactly is it that I'm looking for?!?!

A Road Runner is just the hi-performance version of the Satellite base model. All Road Runners in 68 are based on a Satellite body style so you just need to find a Road Runner model car.

It's the same car, but two different models of it.
The Satellite is a grocery-getter, the Road Runner is the high performance model of the Satellite.

Satellites came standard with a slant 6 in-line engine.
A 318 c.i. engine and 2 different 383 V-8's were optional.
Road Runners came standard with the 383 c.i. engine with a
4 barrel carburater. Options went to the 426 Hemi.

Plymouth GTX was the luxury version of the Road Runner.

IN THE LATE 60 'S MOPAR DIDN'T HAVE THE MONEY TO MAKE SERIOUS MUSCLE CARS . WHAT THEY DID WAS USE A STANDARD EL-CHEAPO FULL SIZE BODY . THEN FOR THE ROAD RUNNER IT GOT A DECAL ( THE CARTOON ROAD RUNNER ) , BLACK PAINTED GRILL , ONE OR TWO SPECIAL PAINT COLORS , HEAVY DUTY SUSPENSION , A LARGE MOTOR , WHEELS AS A OPTION , A BETTER INTERIOR . THE SATELLITE WAS A LOWER COST OPTION THAN WAS THE ROAD RUNNER .THEY USED THE SATELLITE BODY TRICKED OUT AND THAT WAS THE ROAD RUNNER . BACK IN THOSE DAY'S I WASTED 100'S OF MOPARS OF ALL TYPES WITH MY 68-SS 396 CHEVELLE , SO I REMEMBER THEM WELL ( IN THOSE DAY'S YOU EITHER OWNED A BIG BLOCK CHEVELLE OR YOU GOT BEAT BY ONE ) YOUR MOM IS WRONG ABOUT IT BEING A SPECIAL MAKE/MODEL . JUST BUY THE ROAD RUNNER AND HAVE IT OVER WITH .

they're right, the Road Runner is a performance package on the Sattelite just like the Z28 is a package on the Camaro and the TA is a package on the Firebird.
