problem with 99 yamaha yzf 600 r?

bike will run just fine while in motion, but when you come to a stop it will die. I have to keep the rpms up to keep it going. please help

Could be a variety of things that could be happening. My best guess would be that there is a problem with your carbs. I had a similar problem with my 2000r6. Carbs needed to be cleaned out and after that it never stalled.

Clean carb especially pilot jet(small one).

Did you try raising the idle?
