I am thinking about replacing my Subaru Impreza WRX with a 2002-2004 911 C4S. This vehicle would be my daily driver (40 miles per day of mixed driving) and my weekend toy (I typically do 2 lapping school days and 3-4 auto cross events per year).

My WRX has held up very well to this type of usage, with no part failures or unexpected maintenance (I basically change tires once a year, change oil frequently, fill it up with gas and drive hard)

Will a 2002-2004 911 C4S be able to handle this type of usage without becoming a money pit? Will I be able to drive 250 miles to a race track, drive at 10/10ths of my ability for several hours and have absolute confidence the car will not break down and get me home at the end of the day?

I would really like to hear from current 911 owners who use their car in the same way I am planning to use it.

Thanks in advance!

I have the option of buying a clean little 1994 Suzuki Swift for $700 from a friend who just bought himself a new Chevy Trailblazer. Is this a good deal? Are they reliable?

He said it's just like a Metro and gets scorching gas mileage. I'm 6'4" so would I have any problem fitting in this thing? He's driving it down from West Virginia this weekend so I'd appreciate any advice I can get.

Why doesn't Chevy or GMC offer a V6 in their small trucks while all the other truck manufactures do. I test drove their Colorado with the I5 and was very disappointed with the torque and power it had. I used to have a 97 S-10 4X4 with the 4.3 before my 2007 Ranger and loved it, but after 280,000 the engine threw a rod, so it was time for a new truck. Until they give me my 4.3 V6 back in their small trucks, I will never buy another GM truck again. I now drive a 2007 Ford Ranger 4X4 with a 4.0 V6 and am very pleased with it simply because it has a V6 with torque while the colorado has no torque. Way to go Ford for making a small dependable truck with a V6 as GM can't seem to do that. EAT THAT GM, hope you read this Detroit.

Back in 2005, I got 2 speeding tickets, & I paid them off. 2007 is almost over. Is my driving record still bad or is it clear? Many people tell me my driving record will follow me for 7-10 yrs. & others say that after 1 yr. I'll be fine & have all my merits back. I'm trying to get a driving job.

Today i was about to go to lunch when my ford tauroas suddenly died. I turned it on a couple more times to see what was happening and it seems as if that if i take my foot off the gas pedal, the car slowly looses RMP's and dies. Right after it dies it displays the battery sign, but this battery is no less than 6 months old and my lights and the radio still work. Please if you know why this may be, let me know!!

**Also, its been displaying the "low coolant" (however you spell it) and when i refilled it, it did not go away.

Thank you.

It is a Mercury Sable 1996. I have change the pads, the caliper and the brake hose of this wheel (left rear) but every time the pads keep sticking with the disc. I checked the bearings and they look ok, there is not any play and run free (when I take the caliper out of the disc). Even when the car is cold the pads are still touching the disc but it gets worse when I drive on the highway at 70 mph, then this wheel start to make a noise (friction) and when I stop this wheel is hotter than the other ones. When I hit the brakes the opposite wheel brakes better than this one. Also when I brake on the highway the noise stops starting again when I loose the brake, this also happens when I change from the left lane to the right and the noise get worse when I change from right to left.

I heard that if someone hits the back of your car for any reason as long as you are driving on the right side of the road, then it is their fault. This includes if you have to stop suddenly because of a pedestrian because it would be their fault for following too closely. Is this true? Also I need proof that this is true.

I have a 2001 BMW 3 series. Both left and right turn signals have started intermittenly blinking fast for he first 2 - 6 blinks and then resumes the normal tempo. The fast blinks are similar to when a bulb is out but then corrects itself within a few seconds. The indicators that a bulb is out do not come on and the bulbs all seem okay. It will often do this several times a day but not everytime the blinker is used. Anyone know what could cause this?

When its cold it doesnt shake much but once its warm than almost immediatley it starts to shake as if it was a damn muscle car. I haven't done a tune up in a while now but before i do it does anyone know or have an idea of what might be wrong with the damn car. OH and also; the overdrive button doesnt work anymore and its always turned on. Sometimes the car turns off when i'm pulling out of the drive way in reverse and I turn the steering wheel without accelerating it. Stupid car pisses me off! I need help!
