I have a Haynes for the mentioned vehicle. after reading about draining the tank and using a quick disconnect tool to get the lines off the top of the tank, is it just as easy as
1) Drain tank.
2) unbolt plate beneath tank
3) disconnect lines using tool
4) drop tank
5) take out old pump
6) put in new pump
7) restrap tank
8) bolt back on plate.

or are there other things i should be aware of? any and all help is appreciated! thanks!

I would think there would be access to these records somewhere online but at the moment i keep hitting dead ends.Anyone at all please give me another lead.I cannot believe the government that can tell you your conversation you had with a friend in your home..cant tell you what railroad your mom worked for.Not that they have been listening to my conversations "at least I dont think" :-) but then again in this day and age who knows lol...any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks in advance

What do you do with it?

Do you just take it out into the middle of the ocean and hang out on your yacht for a couple of days?

Do you park it at an island and treat it as your own private beach?

Do you fish? I would really think that's what fishing boats are for.

Do you take it all the way over to the Bahamas and treat it like a cruise ship?

What does one do with thier yacht?

Has anyone else got the runaround from the railroad retirement board?I call there today excited to try to find out for sure whether my mom worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad. They found her social security number and said that she indeed had drawn retirement and the main information I wanted was the name of the railroad .They said it was no longer in service"DUH" you think?Or I would have known if she worked for it or not..but they said all they had was a number 1814 and there was no access to it.I thought the government knew everything and that would be so simple to find out from them although they don't have the information.Geez what about the other like billion people that are getting retirement.Could anyone else possibly tell me where I might find employment information possibly telling me for sure if she indeed worked for Southern Pacific Railroad. Thanks in advance

I took my 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee to a dealer because it has been cutting off and/or losing power. My regular mechanic couldn't seem to find the problem, so I took it back to the dealer who recently replaced a recalled PCM.

They found a problem w/a wire that goes to a distributor. Of course they were a little vague, saying they needed to order the part and it will cost me about $345 w/labor. The distributor is new.

Question -- how long would a diagnostic like that take? I got the impression that they saw a code by way of the PCM. Does that take a full hour at $120/hour? I thought everything was digital to get to the problem by computer and a lot faster. Of course I do not want to be charged for an hour of diagnostic if it only took 15 minutes for them to find the problem.

I drive a 97 Mitsubishi gallant 4cyl, its manual with a hydraulic clutch, I had a problem in the past, ran out of hydraulic fluid without realizing it, filled it up and bleeded out the air just by pumping it and continue using it, but before it went out I noticed a stain by the pedals, dark color, like oil, and now it runs out a little to fast I think, and it was really slippery by my feet, bent down and it looks like I'm leaking some kind of black fluid down there, if its my clutch leaking fluid or something what exactly is wrong and how much to fix it? FYI I put brake fluid in it herd its the same thing.

I always thought that you were supposed to disconnect the positive but that just leaves the grounded negative attached. Wouldn't this drain the battery even more?

The cassette deck in my car broke recently, and I won't be able to have it repaired for a while. I had been using a cassette adapter with my XM tuner and CD player.

My least expensive option will be an FM transmitter.
I hear that FM transmitters vary in quality. What is the best brand/model that will give me very good sound quality? And what is the price range?

I was offered a 2001 Camaro SS with 194k Miles for 7500. I assume the engine is still good for a few more miles since its reached so many already but aside from checking the engine with a mechanic what else would be advised? A 2001 SS with 50-90k miles can go for $16-$18k. I figure its still a great buy even if I have to replace the engine in 2-3 years.

Any thoughts? Should I just pass this one up?
Thanks
