I drive a 97 Mitsubishi gallant 4cyl, its manual with a hydraulic clutch, I had a problem in the past, ran out of hydraulic fluid without realizing it, filled it up and bleeded out the air just by pumping it and continue using it, but before it went out I noticed a stain by the pedals, dark color, like oil, and now it runs out a little to fast I think, and it was really slippery by my feet, bent down and it looks like I'm leaking some kind of black fluid down there, if its my clutch leaking fluid or something what exactly is wrong and how much to fix it? FYI I put brake fluid in it herd its the same thing.

brake fluid is what you are supposed to put in it. Your clutch IS leaking and you need to get it towed to a shop to be repaired. If you do not, you will lose the ability to disengage the clutch, I'm sure that will go over well when you try to stop behind someone.

Check the owners manual for the proper fluid type. You need to replace the clutch master cylinder. I suggest unless you are a mechanic that you have it done at a reputable shop.

Well sounds like you had blown out your seals on it. The hydraulic fluid would Be the best to use. I have heard others using brake fluid. Problem is it is not heavy enough. Perhaps this is why it is by passing your seals. looks like you need to Replace the clutch cylinder now.

Your clutch master cylinder needs rebuilt or replaced. It is not a real hard to do but you aren't experienced at working on cars you should have a mechanic to do it.
