If it's a 50.000 mile car it isn't nearly due for a tune up and everything the others are touting. An oil and filter change to include the breather filter so you know they're done and can put them on a regular schedule. Have a mechanic check the brakes for you, make sure the tires are good, the battery and engine are clean and keep them that way. Have fun driving.

Have a complete tune up of the car. (Oil, Trans. Oil, Spark Plugs, Gaskets, Filters, etc). And take it to a mechanic for a certified used car inspection. Also, check your manual for the maintance procedures at different amounts of miles.

Change the oil AND the transmission fluid. On the transmission make sure you go to a place that sucks out all the fluid including the fluid in the torque converter. Then check tire pressure and the other fluids.
