I currently live in TX but before i left i bought a car in NJ. I have not transferred the title in to my name yet, and i don't think I'm going to be bringing the car to TX for a while. So my uncle asked if he could use it and he would register it and put insurance on it. I don't want to put the title completly in his name but if i put both of us will i have to go to NJ with him to register it and will i have to be on the insurance? My licence is currently suspended. Or can i just put me as a lien holder?

I have a problem with the rubber strips that are just above the windows. They look like the have grime on it, like the rubber is wearing away. Usually the rubber is smooth but on my car they are rough.

How can i fix this?

Please note: The car as whole was a very good bargain. It has warranty and the inside is in excellent condition. Its just that the rubber looks horrible.

If I store gas in one of those standard, red, legally approved containers, will the gas eventually go bad in any way?

If so, how long can I store it for before the gas is no longer suitable for use in a car?

And are there any tip on the proper storage of gasoline?

Thanks!

I have a Grand Cherokee with a leaking t-case. I have found out that it is coming from the back of the case, where it goes out to the rear driveshaft. Is it serious or minor? Is this a problem with the gasket/seal (if so, what is the gasket called), or is it something bigger?

I'm going to the lake next weekend with my girl friends to go boating for like the entire day. When you're out on a speedboat, how are you supposed to pee? Clearly we can't come back to the dock every time someone's gotta go.

A friend of mine, was in desperate need of a car, and a friend of hers agreed to help her out by purchasing a car for $800. There was a verbal agreement between them, that she would pay $50.00 per month till it was paid in full. The first month my friend had to put new brakes that cost $200.00, two week after that the transmision went and she contacted the girl who got her the car, and she refused to help her with the repair, which will be $1,300.00. To make a long story short, they are no longer friends and she has now found out, that this car has a lein on it, which was never discussed at the begininng. My friend took the car to the mechanic and had her family wire her the funds to pay the mechanic. My question is, if my friend pays for the repair, can the lein holder take this car away from her, after she will invest the $1300.00? My friend has made the payments of $50.00 a week, but what rights does she have, and what rights does the lein holder have? She is desperate!

I am not looking for abuse here. I am a very fat 620 pound man who takes the bus to and from work. In the evening, the bus is usually crowded and if no one gives up a bench, the bus driver always nicely suggests that I can use the handicap seating. That always gets me stares and jokes from some passengers which I don't mind. I know my size will always make some people make fun of me. I just want to make sure it is OK to use the seats. I have given it up for a truly hanicapped person and luckily a bench opened at the same time. I cannot fit in the row seats anymore. I just started taking the bus due to a job change and it is easier for me than driving and parking - less costly. Thanks for your thoughts.

I made a silly mistake.I have a 1998 Dodge Durango. I put about maybe 5 tablespoons of Powersteering fluid in my master cylinder. A friend of mine told me that it would not do anything but now my front brakes have locked up on me, is the caused from me putting in the powersteering fluid. It is not the calipers because the Mechanic that I normally have work on my car lifted my truck and said that both front brakes are locked, not just one. He drained the line and refilled it but it is still doing the same thing. I'm a single mom who trys to check my fluids all the time myself and made a big mistake. Can you please tell me why my brakes are locked and what I have to do to fix it and if it is going to be costly? Please help me, I'm desperate and scared that I will not be able to afford to fix my mistake. Help me with my Locked Brakes....PLEASE!
