Has anyone here had their car recovered with LoJack, or NOT had their stolen car recovered with LoJack?

Any opinions on how good/bad LoJack is?

Lojack has been giving shares of its stock to police officers to make sure they diligently search for stolen cars. That may do wonders for their stock but it still smells like bribery.

Their ads claim that they recover a lot of cars. I see a local and state police cars that have the antenna array that lojack needs so I know the police are equipped to find those cars.

I am sure that eventually professional car thieves will be equipped with lojcak style interrogators to let them locate a locjack responder on cars they are stealing. That will make lojack worthless.

It's a good system, but quite expensive to install and then there is a monthly fee to activate it. You report your car stolen, they track it and inform the police where it is. (Not you, the police). If they get on it, they can recover it.
