Its a non turbo 2.0, cant seem to get the dowel pins in and/or bolts to pull the trans all the way in. if anyone has done this year or 90-94 or something similar and can offer some help, it would be greatly appreciated.

standard or auto. if its a standard then you want to make sure that your clutch is lined up if you did replace it, use the alinment tool provided. make sure its in a gear. get you some all thread thats longer than your bolts cut two of them and stars them on either side of the motor that way its easier to line up.work it up to the motor and spin from the backside so that your shaft spins and your splines should line up and tighten it down

I had a similar problem with my ranger. I even tried a jack to push it in but no luck then I flashed that the slave cylinder was under pressure opened it up some clutch fluid rocketed out and it slammed home. If you have hydralic pressure your fighting youll never get it on until you relieve pressure. After its on close system fill and bleed

Did you use the spline alignment tool? That would be my first thought. I had several Mitsubishi's.
