I can close my door on my 1988 Ranger truck all day long and very rarely will it close all the way. It's like this on both my driver and passenger door. I've noticed that my door latch striker is missing the little yellowish thing that goes around it. Could this be what is causing my problem? I need this fixed ASAP I've already had my door to fly open while going down the road. HELP!!!!!

When we questioned a dealer about a Kia we ultimately ended up purchasing he assured us just "routine maintenance" had been done. Two weeks after bringing home the vehicle it began overheating and was undriveable. When we took the car to the same mechanic who had worked on it, we were surprised to find out the water pump had been replaced as well as the timing belt and several other repairs. My question is would these repairs fall under minor rountine repairs or should the dealer disclosed this information to us? We don't want to be stuck with a "dead horse" so to speak. If this salesperson was misleading we have a good chance of getting our money back from what I understand.

Mine is now over 5 years old.... in the same VW Golf I bought new from the dealership. With winter coming up...... I don't want to risk being caught out, as my friend said that you shouldn't rely on a car battery over 5 years.

However I don't like paying for something that maybe, for all I know, has another 5 years of life in it.

I have a 2006 Mazda 6 s 5 door. I just hit 30K miles and my 2 front tires are in terrible shape. They are Pirelli 215/45R P Zero Nero M+S. This is the first time I hae ever had a car with high performance tires. Is this a normal amount of miles to get on this type of tire? I used to drive a mini van so I am used to tires that get a lot more miles than that. Thanks!

I have a 3,000 dollar lien on my car. It needs head gasket repairs and it's not worth it for my to pay for the repairs.

I met a mechanic who offered to do work on my car and put a lien on it. He said I wouldn't have to pay the bank off. He even offered me the 500 dollars I wanted for my car. What should I do? I live in California.

Is it true that your insurance company can refuse to cover you if you didn't have possession of your card in the car at the time of the accident? This is what I was told by a police officer at the scene. (I have a valid insurance policy, but I just didn't have the card there.)

it turns over, it has gas, the battery has been checked and charged, fuel pump works, fuel filter is not clogged, brand new spark plugs, didn't even start with starter fluid or a jump start.
