Use some gasoline ingredients and run a tank of top rate .you will desire to try this after in a whilst gasoline is costly butt will keep you interior the long-term. Plus you would be able to desire to be donning it out via working the gasoline low all of the time. The pump has to artwork tougher and gets warm once you run the gasoline down actual low . you will flow threw alot of gasoline pumps that way , in any vehicle

My Suburban started doing that and I didn't worry too much about it until the day I was pulling my trailer up in the area of Moreno Valley, Ca. (up hill) and started losing power.

Visited a repair shop, they pulled the gas tank and replaced the pump for about $385. (it took 4 guys to drop the half full tank)

Yes....but you should find out how much current the pump is pulling to make sure that it isn't on its way out. If the truck has the original pump then I would replace it now.

The fuel pumps in these type trucks are prone to failure.

Most don't make it past 120k miles before they fail. I got lucky and my '97 made 133k mi before it died. I got a lot of noise in my radio then pppfffftttt.

Replace with a ACDelco pump, they are more expensive but the crap you get from autozone will fail way sooner.

A hum from a fuel pump usually means it needs to be replaced.

Could be a sign that it is going to fail. Should be a simple replacement.
