I use Valvoline in my classic Buick because it is high detergent and keeps the inside clean. I use Castrol on my Toyota and my old Chevy truck because they are easier to find in the store than Valvoline and also good oils. I would recommend that you pick an oil and stick to it. If you use different oils the additives might not work well together.

In my experience their is no need to run Synthetic unless you plan on keeping a car for over 20 years and well over 200k miles. A 20 year old car with a perfect engine will still not be worth all the money you spend on synthetic. Just change conventional oil at 3000 miles and you will be ahead of the game.

All oils sold in the United States have to comply with minimum requirements. They are all safe to use. Peronally I prefer the Valvoline and Castrol brands

Quaker state is a good oil I use it because I know that it helps my engine out by the performance I see it gives me when I drive my car
