I have a 2000 diesel F-250 with 95k miles. I was towing a camper, and about 150 miles into the trip, I kept on feeling a brief tug back on the truck once a minute or so - it was very light at first, but then it got harder and the tires actually screeched for a split second a few times. I got off the freeway, pulled over for a few minutes, and got back on the feeder at about 40 mph, and the problem seemed to go away (or maybe I just couldn't feel it anymore at the slower speed).

I was towing a pop-up camper - it is relatively heavy for a pop-up, and it DOES NOT have its own brakes. It didn't seem like the engine was struggling - I was at normal 1800 rpm at 65 mph. It felt like a momentary brake glitch - but I couldn't tell if it was the back or front tires that screeched, so it could have been a temporary transmission glitch.

I have driven about 30 miles without the camper since then, and haven't duplicated the problem yet. Any ideas?

Does that mean it's 2 ohms combined over the two channels ( 1 ohm per channel) that will give me 500 watts per channel. Or is it 500 watts @ 2 ohms on each channel?

I stumbled across a very clean, very smooth running 1989 420 SEL. One owner. 210,000 miles. Timing Chain changed at 110,000 .. It starts on the first grunt of the starter, less than a 1/2 second. No ticks, no leaks, no smoke. All maintenance logs, interior clean (not detailed to make it just look clean). The only odd thing is when I checked the oil, it looked very clean and I smelled it. It had a smell that I associated with a failing motor... hard to describe, but thin, almost like oil and hydrocarbons mixed.

I know that timing chains should be changed every 100,000 - But the 210,000 does concern me. I also heard if the chain snaps in these, you can bend a valve? Is that true that the 1989's had interference motors?

Thank you in advance for your opinions.

I have a 2000 Saturn LW station wagon, V6. It has a rear main oil seal leak. I would like to change my oil to 30W vs the 5W/30 it now uses. This might slow down/reduce the leakage. I have put seal conditioner in but have not seen any difference. I'm thinking a heavier weight oil and conditioner might work. Car is used in Florida and has 95,000 miles on it. Are there problems going with the 30W oil

I have an 86 camaro with a 305 G engine. Does anyone know a site or way to figure out what kind of gas mileage a typical car like that would get? (A site where I could input the make/model/year/engine size, etc. and it would tell me a gas mileage based on my car.)

2007 Expedition. At 1,800 miles the truck started pulling to the left while braking at freeway speeds. New front pads, problem still there. New rear pads, problem still there. Rode with engineer who said while braking/pulling the driver side rear tires is spinning 3-5mph slower than the rest, causing the pull. They then replaced both rear calipers, pads, rotors, and lines. Still pulls the same. Any ideas?

I had an engine built on S&S big bore cases, stock flywheels and conn rods, JIM's shafts, KB pistons and CCI 3 5/8 cylinders, JIM's lifters, Andrews B cam etc, etc..

I had just over 500 miles on it when...there I was...cruising down the hiway...tick, tick, tick for about 2 seconds but loud enough to hear over the road noise and pipes. Then the rear cylinder exploded. There was bits of piston and cylinder and hot oil all over me, my ride and the road.

Any guesses? It looks like either the cylinder had a fault and exploded and the piston followed suit when it went rattling around nuts or the piston let go and took everything with it.

I had been doing oil changes with high quality after the first run, 25 miles and at each 100 mile marker after that.

Either way...cases are damaged in teh spigots, rods bent and I'm missing a cylinder....$$$$$$$

My Check Engine light recently turned on and the OBD code read: P1400 - Auxilary Emission Controls. Funny thing is that it has turned off twice, once when I washed the car and the other time is when it was raining? Any ideas than can help me identify the problematic sensor?

If im driving north on a four lane road (2 outside turn lanes) at a big intersection and right b4 i get in the intersection it turns yellow. A Man going south was trying to take a left turn. There wasnt much way for me to stop unless i slammed on my breaks. On the other side of the intersection there are also 4 lanes (2 turn lanes each side) i was about a full car length in the intersection when it turned red. he was in the intersection left turn lane as it turned red. he started pulling out and tried 2 go b4 i went as i was going straight. now if the light was red, dont i have the right away since im going straight? and he hit my car maybe driver headlight to the door handle, so it was basically a t-bone. his car was mainly messed up on the front corner driver side. Wasnt he more at fault than me?
