My Check Engine light recently turned on and the OBD code read: P1400 - Auxilary Emission Controls. Funny thing is that it has turned off twice, once when I washed the car and the other time is when it was raining? Any ideas than can help me identify the problematic sensor?

Don't know who read your codes but my code reader says----P1400 "differential pressure feedback EGR (dpfe) sensor circuit low voltage detected". It is possible you have a loose or poor connection at the EGR valve

It is possible you have a loose gas cap, or a rusted fuel tank filler neck. The Mitsubishi doesn't have a DPFE sensor. You could quite possibly have something as minor as a loose connection at the purge valve or at the EGR valve solenoid.

If a examine engine mild is on it is not for the tranny. it somewhat is for the emission equipment or motor. A flashing D or N kit indicator mild is to warn approximately tranny codes. If the D or N is flashing that's many times merely an enter or output velocity sensor or a shift solenoid that's no longer that costly.
