the sound is similar to when you over turn the key while the car is still running and u get that loud screetchy effect...does anybody know what that could mean??? is my car okay????

Some cars have a starter relay and if by chance it stuck on, it may have activated when you shifted to park or even neutral completing the circuit.

Step on your accelerator pedal real fast and hard while the car's in park with the parking brake on. If you clearly hear the same screech, your fan belts need tightening.

If the car does this more than once, take it to a mechanic. It doesn't sound "okay" to me.

thats the noise it makes if you shift into park while still rolling. make sure you are completly stoped
