I drove to pick up a friend and waited for him 10 minutes with the car running and the air-con on. When he got in the car, I put it in reverse and the car stalled. When I tried to restart there was a clicking noise. I tested the radio, lights and horn, all good. I checked the fuse box and the was a fuse marked "ignition". I pulled it, looked good and swapped it anyway with the interior light (both 20). I tried again and same thing. The car was inspected last week.

Thanks for any help

A while ago i threatened to take ford to court because they wouldn't stand by their warranty terms.
My grievance was that they wouldn't replace the wheels on my car as they had got marks on them because the varnish had broken down and water had got to the alloy.
Anyway it seems my threat of a law suit worked as they are now going to replace my wheels.
After all that , my question is,am i within my rights to ask for a years guarantee on the new wheels?after all if you have a new pump fitted to your washing machine then it's guaranteed for 12 months isn't it?

"Hi, I''ve never had a motorcycle before but I've seen them on SuperBikes and think they are SOOOO cool! So I want to get one right away, and I like the GSX-R1000/R1/Hayabusa death rocket. Do you think that would be good for a beginner? I'd start on a 600cc bike, but I don't want to be bored in six months!

I play football in high school, so I'm really strong and stuff and I rode a friend's quad once in Montana without crashing. Besides, I'll be really careful and all, and I'm better than anyone else on the planet when it comes to things I know nothing about!

I have a letterman jacket and some nifty, baggy pants just in case I fall over, but I won't be going very fast anyway so it doesn't matter. I have a few speeding tickets, but I can drive a stick shift! I haven't really thought about how I'm going to pay for everything, and I have no idea how much insurance is for a teenager on a sportbike, but that couldn't be too expensive, could it?

What do you think?"

I was checking my car's coolant for the first time ever.

I was first displeased to find that the cap wasn't even snapped on.

I looked into the reservoir to make sure there was no debris or oil in the coolant. Check.

I went to look to see if the coolant was filled to the correct level. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any fill lines, or any markings of any kind on the reservoir. Plus, the bottom-half of the reservoir was coated in a grimy, black liquid. It looks like the liquid spilled out of a different reservoir a few inches away. I could see this different reservoir had overflowed at some point in the past. It just has a black cap on it, and grimy liquid spilt down the sides. I'm not sure what's in it. I could probably try cleaning them both off with some de-greaser and paper towels.

On the coolant reservoir, besides not seeing any fill markings, I can't even see the coolant itself when looking from the side. So I can't make sure it's the right color either.

Even though I grew up in the muscle car era, and my Dad owned a 427 69' Stingray, I personaly don't see the attraction to this era, and wanting to relive this time. Vietnam, Watergate, anarchy in the streets from the Civil rights movement, Kent State, Arab oil Embargo, we fired God from the classroom(which contributed in many ways to a morally and ethically bankrupt society we live in today).

The cars could not make a turn, brakes were awful, carbs that needed constant attention, 3rd grade tires, rear-ends that kicked out at the slightest bit of moisture on the road, and truck-based engines that sounded like they were going to blow up after 100MPH. My Dad's vette was shook like a moth stuck to flypaper after 110MPH.

Great garage queens now, but the good ol' days were not so great, and the cars in my opionion were even worse. As someone once said..."unsafe an ANY speed".

I need to get into my 95 camaro but the doors are locked and all i have is the ignition key. I've tried to "slim jim" the locks with a clothes hanger but that failed miserably, i also have a small enough crack in the window to stick the hanger in and i have tried to hit the power locks but the hanger will just bend because it's a piece of crap. I havent tried anything else on it though but if my sister is right she says the locks wont work with the car off because they are power locks and the battery is most likely dead do to inactivity. If anyone has any ideas on how to get in this ***** let me know :)

i love the ford super duty trucks. but i dont know how to afford one. i definitely can't afford my dream truck. my dream truck is the f-350 crew cabin with double wheels in the back. that is 55,000 bucks and that is out of the question. i want a nice lookin truck. some trucks look real boring b/c they are made for work only. this is a pleasure vehicle in my case. how can i get a good deal? maybe i should lease one? i need my payments to be like 400 a month. willing to put money down. or perhaps an f-150 would be cheaper and better idea?

I own a 2005 Hyundai Tiburon GT Limited in great condition with only 28,000 miles on it but can't seem to find a place to sell it. I am trying to get $14,990 for it which is way below bluebook. I've also put it on craigslist.org, autotrader, cars.com, and local papers. It's been a few months and still no word from anyone. I would appreciate any information or advice anyone could give me, or if anyone is interested in the car! Thanks.

1997 Plymouth Breeze, why does the fluid in the Engine Coolant tank boil occasionally? It doesn't happen every time, but it has been happening off and on for a couple of years now. There is no smoke, the engine doesn't overheat and there is no other sign of stress. What is happening?

my dad said it's supposed to have some kind of freakishly good speakers in it that are new...because he didn't know how to cover up this hole thing...so he built more speakers lol.

this was the first new car he bought. i feel bad because although i like it, it's just not a girl car to me lol. he didn't give it to my sister, but he's giving it to me...she wanted it, and i never really did lol....does anyone else see it as slightly cool? just wondering, i'm not trying to be a spoiled brat!

i think this car to him signifys something special like, he trusts me a lot or something....

I will be a fourth year college student this year and am ready to buy my new car. I have $25000 for it. I am still debating between A regular civic or a hybrid. I like to drive fast but not race. I am not considering the si version at all, plus the gas milage on the si's really suck. I currently drive a 99 corrolla but want a new car design. If i get a regular civic I want it with sunroof, the gps system and a rear spoiler. Which regular civic model do you think is better ? The EX with all that i want will run around $22,300 while the hybrid would go for a little under $25000 plus it gets a tax reduction. When will the 2008 honda civics come out ?

Recently I have also be seen the 07 nissan altimas. They are still in my price range and a little more luxurious than a civic. What r your opinions on this car ? Do you know when the 08 altima comes out ?

btw I am looking for a 4 door car and not a 2door one

My family used to drive a Dodge (and a Chevy before that), but they were pretty terrible cars. They both began to break down around 50,000 miles, and we ended putting way too much money in both of them compared to what they were worth. We now drive a Toyota Camry, and it hasn't given us one bit of trouble (and it has 120,000 miles on it). It still rides completely quiet, handles the same as when we bought it new, and stylistically, it looks sharp and refined, inside and out. It was about $2000 more than a comprable American car, but it's lasted WAY longer than that car ever would have and ended up being far cheaper than the maintenance costs of our previous American cars. I'm wondering if American cars deserve their bad reputation...some are ok, but most seem to be unreliable after a little while and, frankly, they just look plain junky. Everytime I see a new Chrysler or Ford or Chevy, I cringe...what is up with their design engineers?

I'm going to be getting my license next month but I don't have a car. For the actual driving part of the test, can you use your mother's car? I'm really confused about this. I plan on buying a car once I save enough money, but in the mean time, I will be on my mother's car insurance and will be driving her car.

So my question is, WHEN TAKING THE TEST, CAN YOU USE JUST ANY CAR? I live in the state of Ohio.

I've been told that the best way to disable the door ajar alarm is to unplug the alarm maker under the dash for a for 2007 E-350.

I need a little help in locating it,as I am unfamiliar with it's location or appearance. All I know is that godawful thing is annoying and I want it dead. I wasn't able to find any schematics in the E-series owner's manual specifically pertaining to it.

Any help?

I have a 2004 Jeep Liberty Sport. I'm wondering if I have a slow leak in my tires or if it's something else. My two tires on the right seem to need air every few weeks and more recently. After I fill the tires with air it rides perfectly smooth until I hit a rough patch or bump in the street then the ride is bumpy, I fill it up with air again and it's smooth sailing until I hit another bump in the road. What's happening? Do I need new tires or do they need to be rotated or is it a slow leak?
