i love the ford super duty trucks. but i dont know how to afford one. i definitely can't afford my dream truck. my dream truck is the f-350 crew cabin with double wheels in the back. that is 55,000 bucks and that is out of the question. i want a nice lookin truck. some trucks look real boring b/c they are made for work only. this is a pleasure vehicle in my case. how can i get a good deal? maybe i should lease one? i need my payments to be like 400 a month. willing to put money down. or perhaps an f-150 would be cheaper and better idea?

my husband is looking at the same thing. We got the option to lease a F-250 king cab ( i think that is what you call it, i could be wrong...it had 4 doors.), very very nice truck. it was deisel and is black, and with a little down payment, the cost per month would have only been about 350-375 a month. it depends on where you go. This truck was a few years old, but it was still a really nice truck. Look for used trucks.

I personally wouldn't buy it but if you are only driving a few miles a day and if you leave the motor stock(no chip, nothing) then you should be just fine. The problems that most people talk about is when they try to get more power and the motor just wasnt designed for all these aftermarket accessories. If it were me I'd still do all the reccommended upgrades for the motor even if I didn't put a chip in it or anything. Take that $12,500 and go buy an older Super Duty with the 7.3L and you will not be let down, EVER! I'd buy a 99-03 Super Duty with the 7.3L even if it had 500,000 thousand miles if I could get the history on how it was driven, where it was driven and all that.

My hubby just bought a 2002 F-350 dually for $16,000. It's sharp too. Consider an older model that still looks new.

$55,000 for a f**kin' truck? That's more than I paid for my first house! And I didn't have to worry about IT getting smacked by an 18wheeler.
You need to adjust your priorities.

How about a older model lightning.
It is based on the Ford F150 and it is pretty nice.
