If you don't own the car, then you can't.

If you do own the car, but you've lost the title, go to the local Secretary of State, DMV, or whatever office registers cars in your area, and get a replacement title. In some cases, they may be able to issue a replacement title on the spot. But you may have to ask to find out for sure. If you have to wait for it to be mailed to you, you may have to wait on selling the car, until it arrives.

get a duplicate title issued (assuming you are the owner)

check with the Division of Motor Vehicles in your state

prolly have an on-line area to request it - for $25 will get it to you in about 10 days to 2 weeks

best of luck -
