Mechanic says tires are "cupping." Sorry if this is a stupid question. Never had a car with so many miles on it before.

I am buying my boyfriend 95 nissan pickup next week. It's a manual and 2wd. It does not have air conditioning. I would like to have someone install one however ( mine has the capabilities for one) On average how much would it cost? Also
I want to get the re-cover the interior ( it's just a 2 door so there's not much to do) How much would something like that cost and where should I go?

We bought a 2002 Taurus froma dealer. The miles are about 41K..which is good. BUT, the thing sqeals when running. My husband said the belt looks good, like new, but may need tightning or a pulley is bad. Well, the dealer "fixed" it..hah...sound came back. Took it back, now they say could be either in the transmission or motor..any car experts here?? Is this worth fixing??

Either form a consumer cooperative and the coop purchases gasoline in large enough quantities to supply its members for a full year and they lock in the price at the beginning and thus negate all future increases until the end of the year when they make their next purchase, The earlier the members buy memberships the longer they can take advantage of the locked in price. You must pay the annual membership fee. Hopefully they will eventually expand to 5 year lock ins! I see only increases with no drops in price! or you make a deal with your local gas station and guarantee to him that you'll only buy from him if he offers you a locked in price for a specified time frame!

In our area, Southern California, we have carpool lanes that apply during high traffic times. Although, I believe that the solid double yellow lines are always to be obeyed, I am getting all different answers. There is always a solid white line on the inside of the lane, then double yellow lines on the outside. At some points there is a solid white line, then 2 sets of double yellow lines. Some people say, since there is a solid white, that means you can exit at any time, but can never enter except at the open entrance points. I happen to think that the white line means nothing as far as entering and exiting, that you are suppose to wait, whether it is high traffic time or not, to enter or exit at the designated openings. I have looked for these answers at the DMV website and it does not elaborate at all. Thanks in advance.

I was looking to lease a new lexus is 250 which would cost me 369 a month but i went to get a quote from geico, it said that the insurance would cost about 1600 a month. I think that is pretty insane considering you could finance a porshe 911 for that much money.

I am 20 and got my license last summer. is there a time period when the cost of insurance goes down?

Both strut towers have a large amount of rust and would need to be removed, and have new ones welded on.

It's a 1985 Toyota van. I turned the wheel while parked with the engine off. Now it squeals like a car taking a corner too fast every time I make a sharp turn. Adding fluid doesn't help. What did I break and can I fix it?

I saw an add in a car mag. advertising this item called the "Turbonator". You put in in the hose that leads to the engine and it suppossedly allows for better air flow increasing hp up to 30... Is this bull$hit or not?

i have a 2000 mercury grand marquis with 105,400 miles on it. I've been wanting to get the transmission fluid flushed and replaced... Should i do it? i bought the car used in two months ago, and i don't know if or when the transmission fluid was replaced. What else should I have it looked at? Will this hurt or damage my engine in any way? After i get it flused? Should I get Meineke to do it? Are they reputabile?

I have a 1999 Accord and it has been stalling while I am driving and it is very random when it does this. I have been told there was a recall on the car that could be the reason behind this or it could be the fuel pump. Does anyone have any other ideas what could cause this so I don't spend hundreds for mechanics to look at it?

My boyfriend bought a car about a year ago. He has a lien on it and is paying it off. He now has a company truck and doesnt need his car, so he wants me to drive it. I would like to put the insurance in my name because its like 80 percent cheaper than his is. I know in order to do this he would need to sell me the car for a dollar so i can register and insure it under my name. But I dont know if its possible for him to sell it since he has a lien on it. What can i do?

On all vehicles using a cartridge style oil filter, are the installation torque requirements for the cap itself printed or stamped on the cap? I'm talking about the cap that goes on the filter housing.

.. On a search for a cool naked bike I came across this dealership (http://www.motocinelli.com/) and the sight of a Tesi3d bowled me over. They're rare though. Where to find any proper road tests, head2heads with 'normal' race bikes etc? Or could it be someone on here has one?

I own a 2006 Dodge Magnum that I drive only on the weekend. Question is how often should I change the oil. Every 3000 miles or every 3 months? Every month I drive it between 200-300 miles. At this rate it'll take me around 10 months to reach 3000 miles. Is it okay to change the oil every 10 months? If I change it every 3 months that's only about 1000 miles.
