I saw an add in a car mag. advertising this item called the "Turbonator". You put in in the hose that leads to the engine and it suppossedly allows for better air flow increasing hp up to 30... Is this bull$hit or not?

Not worth the money or Tornadoair...same principle---just a couple of good sounding gadgets that make money for the people that produce and sell them but don't give you the benefit they claim. If anything, it restricts air flow at high speeds to reduce efficiency.

naw dude, its nothing but a scam. or like the pros will say "snake oil". :)
it sure is a very beneficial gadget but not for you or I but for the makers!! :) it doesnt do diddly to your car. think about this, if it would really work, dont you think the automakers will install it as a standard equipement?? :) save your thirty bucks, infact save 30 bucks every week and soon you will have enough money to install a performance exhaust and an intake. now that will give you HP!! :) good luck.

do not buy it, not only will it hurt your engine but it doesnt work. If you want to have a turbo in your car then spend the money and actually install a turbo kit. Read any of the forums for cars, the techs will laugh if you bring up turbonator.

I saw a article in Popular Mechanics that tested it and a few similar type of devices and none of them did any real good. One actually De-creased hp and fuel economy. Check out their web-sight and run a search for it.
