It overheats though I've checked everything with the cooling system. (check my previous question for details)

I Have no white smoke coming from the tail pipes, also I have no coolant in the oil. Any suggestions?

Please look at the torque and power curves.

No people just guessing 56mph please. Preferably engineers or designers or scientists or experts, no guessers. This isn't the "magic number" for all cars. It also depends on the gearing.
In 5th gear 1000rpm=19mph, 2000=38, 3000=57.......
The twinport engine has blips in torque and plateaus all over the map. I just want to know if cruising on the motorway what road speed or rpm will give maximum distance per gallon of petrol used.
This is of course cruising on a level motorway in 5th gear and considering dynamic factors such as wind speed at 0mph.

I am thinking about trading in my 2003 Honda Element and leasing a new vehicle (make unknown) - I owe less than 1k on the Honda. Blue Book Value is around 9-13 K. Say the dealer is willing to give 10k. What happens to the excess cash if I am leasing a new vehicle from that dealer.

Obviously the dealer will pay 1k to get the title for the Honda, I am going allow for 2.5k for down payment, tax, title, etc for the new lease. What happens to the remaining 6.5K? Does the dealer cut a check?

If you were going to negotiate this lease not planning to buy at the end of the term what be the best plan of attack for negotiating the lowest monthly payment.

My car was recently in a flood. We had some bad weather and there was standing water in my neighborhood that got into my car just above the bottom of the doors. The interior carpet is soaked and smells really bad. The insurance company took an estimate and gave me about $400 to clean the carpet and replace the carpet padding. I have been reading and it seems that a lot of people are saying that I may have electrical problems later on. The engine fluids do not have water in it and it is running fine. Can anyone give me their opinion on whether I will have electrical trouble later on from this?

I am in the military and will be away from my car for quite a while (1yr 6m) and i am wondering what the best way to store it would be? Should i drain all the fluids and put it up on blocks in a storage unit? Leave the fluids in topped off? Is it good to have it on blocks for that long? Whats the best way to do it?

Pls help!
My wife was driving the car and hit the another car at the back at the signal. No injuries and no big damage except other car's rear bumper. Since incident is small and there were no injuries we didn't inform cop. I came to know that its a mistake.
One more thing is my wife doesn't have insurance. She has learner's permit and I Have full insurace. I was with her while driving. I informed my insurance company about this and the other party has also informed his insurance comapny. I am not going for claim to my car. But my questions are these...

How does the insurance work here? since my is not covered under insurance should I pay everything? or insurance will take care of that?

Though there were no injuries, people told me that they may come back saying they have injury. How much they may demand? How can I get across this situation? I am pretty sure there are no injuries for sure. But I am very much afraid of this.
Would informing cop help? I am very much tensed! Pls

I have a 1996 astro van. The oil pan was busted and this idot mechanic drove it home. I replaced the pan a now it makes a LOUD clunking noice. When I tried to drive it,there was a squealing noice and then it shut off. PLease help

since the repair, when it gets upto around 60 miles an hour the engine management light comes on and sometimes it doesn't feel like it is pulling properly. it doesn't happen everytime i go over 60 i would say it is 4 times out of 5 it happens. when i turn the engine off and restart it it usually goes back to normal or sometimes it takes a couple of restarts. can anybody help me please.

I just boght a 2000 LHS and it shifts funny between 1st and 2nd.I also feel a slight vibration in the pedal.I took it back and they said diag was good.I then had a trans filter and flush but there is no difference.Even a second opinion said the same thing.

i have an impco model e lpg system on my 3.9 classic range rover.
it runs perfect on petrol, but as soon as i run it on gas it back fires.
it will do it 2 or 3 times then it blows the pipe off the plenum chamber.
ive had the timing done , but it still does it.
it only does it when accelerating.
can anyone tell me what it wrong , because i want to sell it ,and need the lpg working.
