i have an impco model e lpg system on my 3.9 classic range rover.
it runs perfect on petrol, but as soon as i run it on gas it back fires.
it will do it 2 or 3 times then it blows the pipe off the plenum chamber.
ive had the timing done , but it still does it.
it only does it when accelerating.
can anyone tell me what it wrong , because i want to sell it ,and need the lpg working.

Had the same problem on a v8 discovery. We changed some sort of valve on the tank from plastic to metal. Not sure what part was called but it was done by autogas near Leominster

Take it back to who did the upgrade and tell them the problem, they should have re set all the timing and the total system to run on LPG,say you are not happy with there workmanship,so why is this problem happening now.If they give you problems say why is this happening now its costing me in time and money, then if no joy,go and see a solicitor and get them to send a letter to them, saying that you cant run on LPG without damage to your car and you want to claim on there policy for the damage or ask the local paper to wright a report on there short comings of poor service on there workmanship. As this will give them poor publicity they might ask you to come in to fix the problem, saving there face to potential customers.

Sounds like it's getting too much fuel.
Pressure regulator for LPG is bad.
