I am thinking of flying to Las Vegas, renting a tour bike and take my wife on a cross-country roadtrip through the southern Utah, northern Arizona and Nevada region. I don't want it to be too hot or cold for her comfort. What would be the best time of the year to consider taking such a road trip?

Was this an early version of what we today call "Road Rage." And have you ever seen anyone actually carry out the threat?

Hi,
My 97 Chevy lumina is making a ticking noise when idle, and also when you slow down or stop and then accelerate the engine is sluggish and it's hard to pick up any speed, does anyone know what the cause of this might be?

Thanks!

I am just wondering because the last time I flew somewhere I saw a couple who was having trouble getting one of the belts to buckle. It took both to get it to latch and I was curious if the airport had belt extensions or some other procedure.

I am about to pull the 4.0 v6 engine out of my YJ for a complete rebuild. I am hoping to get more power out of it. I was thinking about putting dome/high compression pistons and a performance cam...Is this a bad idea for this motor? Any suggestions?

The accident was minor, I lightly backed into the back bumper of a "NJ access" vehicle (possibly a state vehicle). We exchanged insurance information and the police came and filed a report, it says "minor damages" to the vehicles. I saw her bumper, it was barely any damage if any. I thought the situation was over until I heard from a "third party" agency that is contracted to handle claims for the vehicle owner. They are attempting to get $700. They sent me an estimate in writing and it sounds crazy. There is no way there is that much damage. I told her this and I "bargained" her down to $600, which is fishy! What can I do here? I ABSOLUTELY cannot get insurance invovled because of prior accident history and other factors. If I don't pay I'm afraid I will get sued. Do they legally have to get a few estimates, perhaps one at a body shop of my choice? What course of action do I have here? Can I make them get another estimate?

My dad's 2007 Subara got hit in the parking lot. He did not know who did it, called the police, and got a report. Damage was estimated at around $2000 by the officer in the report. His insurance company will send someone to estimate the car and issue a check to fix it. The question is if he goes into Subaru dealer and get an estimate, but will not have the car fixed there. Will this void the factory warranty? Because he has a buddy who is a body specialist, and will definitely do a much better job for much less. Thanks much.

I was lucky enough to find http://cheapcars.dccook.co.uk , I have heard bad stories about other sites.

What are your experiences and would you buy a new car online?

I feel like its not worth it to them to get an attorney invovled for such a small accident. HELP!

Here's what happened:

I stopped at a 4-way stop as did the driver to the left of me. I proceeded and once I was a few feet into the interection, so did he and he hit my car, stopped and hit it again, as if he wasn't paying attention or couldn't see my car (he was in a large van). The policeman that came to the scene cited the other driver for failing to yield to my right of way and presented me with a "non-reportable" police report (this is in PA, but I don't know what they mean by "non-reportable"). Will the other driver's insurance be expected to pay for my damages given the information supplied in the police report? I am assuming they would, but I'm still concerned since I can't afford to fix the car myself (it's old and I only carry liability insurance).

Thanks!
