I am just wondering because the last time I flew somewhere I saw a couple who was having trouble getting one of the belts to buckle. It took both to get it to latch and I was curious if the airport had belt extensions or some other procedure.

Airplanes normally have belt extenders onboard that are just an extra buckle with another tounge piece on the end.

Last year there was this show on TV about Airport/airline operations (I don't remember the name of it) but anyway, there was a very large man who couldn't fit into the seat and they were going to make him pay for an extra seat. Needless to say he told them where they go could go and what they could do with their extra seat!

They have belt extensions and sometimes they make them buy two seats. By the way, the show "curiousnktown" is referring to is "Airline", one of my favorite shows.

Ask the stewardess for a seatbelt extension. It's the same as the one they do the demonstration with.

I think sometimes they make them buy two seats and use the belts from each end of two different seats. They are banned from some rides at Disneyland.

Planes carry extensions. I have seen someone use two of them! I'm surprised the plane could take off.
