Is it common for people to throw garbage in the bed? Is it a problem to do food shopping because you can't really put groceries in the back? Do i know two other people?

When we use the truck on the ranch yeap the bed is always littered with mostly rattling around beer and soda empties. When you grocery shop have the box person double bag the groceries, fill them full and line them along the width of the tailgate. I had a long bungee cord to run through the bag handles and hook on each side of the bed. This keeps them from coming forward if you have to brake fast. Any bag with light objects in them should be bow tied to keep the wind from lifting them out. When I go shopping alone I put the groceries on the interior passenger floor first and then the lighter stuff on the seat. When there is nothing in the bed putting the tailgate down gets you better gas mileage (less wind resistance).
I love my full size 3/4 ton 8 cyl Chevy...little car people get out of your way when they see you coming in the rear view mirror unless they are brain dead yapping on their cellphone.

I have a truck and have a bed cover on the back, it is also a crew cab so it will fit 6 people. It is also 4X4. I don't have any problems with it. People don't bother me about moving because the bed isn't that big and with the cover I can't haul that much. for groceries I have a bed extender and it holds the the bags well. I love my truck.

The Cummins is a huge engine, had a 1996 with over 4 hundred,000 miles and no issues.I pulled a number of campers that weighed over 10,000 lbs in mountains without issues.I by no skill had any transmission problems with any of my shop away from Rams,I do have the trany fluid replaced after the 1st one million 300 and sixty 5 days no rely the mileage and use guy made oil.I even have purely offered a 2009 Ram 2500 HD and prefer it,purely has a HEMI yet is a huge pulling automobile with the 4.10 gearing.I pull a 30 ft 7000 lb dry weight camper with it and don't understand this is there.pull it 70 mph with worry-free. yet out of GM,Ford, and Chrysler the Cummins is the terrific engine, yet GM has the terrific transmission with the Allison.

i have owned more trucks than cars in my life and the only prob wit food shopping is when it rains cause u always put the food in the back, trash or not. all the food u put in the back is sealed and packaged so nuttins gonna hurt it. also u need to keep the bed atleast half way clean to keep trash and paper from flyin out. if u ever need to move or ur friend gets stuck in a ditch or ur girl kicks u out da house, u'll wish u had a truck. if u get 1 get a ex-tended cab or crew cab if u plan on haulin alot of friends around.

I put groceries in the back if I have to - it's not big deal. The biggest problem with owning a pickup is everyone wants you to help them move something. All the time.

Well, Seating if you have kids, if your buying used and someone plowed or hauled with it there can be frame or transmission damage. When it snows there no weight in the back, so put some cinder blocks back there. other than that trucks rock out loud...and girls likeem lol

Seems when you have a pick up truck every one wants you to help them move or to borrow it.
