I am looking at buying the Scion tC. I like the modern young feel with the customizable options and it seems like a decent car based on reviews. Does anyone have any thoughts, recommendations, etc about this car?

My engine light will come on and then my Jeep will start jumping in acceleration (seems like it is backfiring or stalling). It will do this a few times and then stop. Then when I'm stopped at a light, my RPMs will just go crazy and run at 2500+ and kind of jump around for no reason and while I'm in neutral. Once I put the clutch in to get into first, the RPMs will go back to normal. Any idea of what the problem is? It doesn't happen constantly but rather frequently. It comes and goes when it pleases....

i dont know how to get the 2 pins off that are holding the brake pads in place. there are 4 bolts adjacent to the brakes 2 bolts have rubber bushings attached to them are those the 2 bolts i loosen? do i need a c-clamp for this job? please help me if anybody knows how to replace these brake pads. i dont have to bleed the brakes right? thank you!!!!

Key-coded ford. I need a new drivers door lock, however, I have seen on ebay lock ste complete with transponder. Will this work if I swap them on my car? I dont want two keys for the car. Ford are charging too much for a replacment key!! Can anyone advise?

I am having the pressure control solenoid replaced in my Corolla. I was told this may NOT fix the problem and they (toyota service centter) has seen it go as far as having transmission replaced. Has anyone one else encountered this problem? Was it fixed the first time around or have to go back to dealership multiple times?

I'm not positive but I think it's illegal to install an infant car seat in the front seat. So if the vehicle doesn't have a back seat, is it illegal to use it? If it makes a difference I live in Minnesota, the truck is a 98 Silverado, no airbags that I know of. Anyone know?

I've looked on the Dainese motorcycle website, but unfortunately they use a european size chart ranging from 40 to 50 and translate that to an american 8 to 18, obviously incorrect. I'd also like to know if the boots, helmets, and gloves run large or small. Thanks in advance.

I put in gas in my 74 chevelle with a mildly modified 350. I put in somwhere around 8 gallons of gas with part if a bottle of octane boost. I don't know if the fuel had anything to do with this but soon after I got gas it started to make a loud noise and it wanted to die at stop signs. I later fond out that compression is coming back through the carb.. when I took out the number 4 spark plug the compression stops coming through the carb. The number 4 cylinder has close to 150 psi of compression and so does the number 3 cylinder, those are the only 2 cylinders that i have had checked. So whats the deal is it an intake valve not sealing or what?

My boyfriend and I was making a left turn on a green arrow light and a car from the opposite direction hit us while attempting to make a right turn on red. There was no tickets given. We were hit on our front passenger side fender. The person who hit us had a witness and we had a witness. On the police report the investigator listed that we failed to yield while making a left turn on green and they failed to yield while making a right turn on red. What she would we do? We or now out of a vehicle b/c it was wrecked beyond repair and I have medical bills. He stilled was making pymnts on the car so his insurance company is just paying off his car. He also had GAP Insurance. His insurance company offered him 5,337 for 1999 Tahoe, which after fees came to be 4,000 and something is this appropriate? Now the 4,000 is going toward what was owed on the vehicle. Isn't the other persons insurance company liable? Please help me understand this I just want my life back to normal.

Im looking to purchase a vehicle, and when ive checked it out seems decent, except my relative who went with me, said that when he lifted up the oil cap to look in the container, it had a bit of a smoke blowback, and he has heard that is a bad sign. Recently the check engine light came on, along with after my speeds are over 65mph my pb ( power brakes) lights come on, along, with my traction control. I have had it looked at, but the mechanic said, not to worry about it. Now I'm having some sounds from my lifters clanking, can somebody tell me some good diagnoses on whats going on with this?

This car is in the process of being restored. It's been sitting in for about 14 years since it last ran, and recently I'm having work done to my garage so to make room in the garage I put the car in neutral and pushed it outside. As it rolled forward I was able to jump in and press the emergency brake on and it stopped. Now that the garage work is complete I'm unable to push the car back in even with the parking brake released and in nuetral. Does anyone out there have any idea what might be causing this and have any tips that I could use?
