First letter "K" for Kawasaki and second letter "X" for MX. So instead of MX it's KX.

KX- means Kawasaki Moto-X

kx is motocross kdx is endro or cross country racing it was first called a b8m in 1963. the new kx f is a four stroke sense two strokes are not being made any more
