I have a ford ranger needing about 1000 dollars worth of work done including tune up and tires. My budget is slim but I can afford a new car with conditions. Payments will go from $0 to $300 a month and insurance will go from $72 to $200 a month so I'm going to have to ask my parents to pick up the tab for only my insurance, not cool. But a new Dodge Caliber or VW Rabbit? Very cool.

My car is a 98' Toyota Cellica GT Convertable. Over the years occasionally my car will idle low and shut off reguardless of the weather. I have taken it to my mechanic (who has been working on our family cars for 20 years so it is not a case of a bad mechanic) however when I brought it in he was never able to find the problem. I have had the idol intake valve changed and the pcv valve changed out. My car is always up to date on scheduled maintenance. In the past few weeks I have had to give my car a little gas (with out reving the engine) until it is warm then it runs fine however this is EVERY time I start my car now. Once the car is warm it runs like new, and I have no problems when I have to stop and sit idle. I recently had a full diagnostic done on the car at 3 different shops and my car has come back with a fully clean record. Does anyone know what may cause this? A sensor maybe? What do I need to do to get my car working properly. Your help is greatly apreciated.

When it's really hot and your car is parked outside, there is a line of sight remote auto starter. You just leave your A/C button "ON" In the winter you just leave your heater control "ON" I had one 7 years ago, but I moved and gave the car to my Son. He said it must have been uninstalled and the unit was taken. I've tried looking at some retail after market auto stores but can't find one in "Thailand" (really hot here). They make them in China. If anyone knows an auto parts mfgr, or Distributor web site in China or how can I find a listing of Chinese Web sites that translate to English, you can be my guest in Pattaya, Thailand. I have a private 4 rm guesthouse on my property 15 minutes from the beach...Really!

My diesel car has a trip computer. When driving at 80 mph (not in the UK, obviously) the fuel consumption is ~40 mpg.
When driving at 60 mph, ~70 mpg.
Surley, to cut carbon dioxide emmissions, the national speed limit should be reduced to 60 mph on motorways, and enforced?

which of these 2 vehicles would win 0 -200 ? how about a 50mph roll to 200 ? imagine that you removed the top speed limiter from the ninja zx14...take into consideration the ninja zx14 really only makes like 175hp at the rear wheel, and with a full take of gas and an average size person it weighs well over 600 pds...take weight and rear wheel horsepower into consideration with the buggatti as well...after taking these into consideration i calculated that the bike has a slightly better hp to weight ratio, but a slightly lower torque to weight ratio...i think it would be really close, idk...what do you think ? o and obviously imagine professionals are racing...

How do I fix whatever is causing them to stay on. The brake light stays on even when the e-brake is off and i have no idea why the emissions light is on. Can any one help?

I'm thinking we should. Let me tell you about yesterday:

I went to go to the bank to make a deposit, then on the way home the transmission went out in my van. I puttered all the way home at 5mph or less, while cars behind me honked and cut around me.

When I got home, I called the transmission shop (since a tranny is the only thing I can't work on) and the repairman told me my car isn't worth repairing.

I called another shop, and that guy will told me he cannot quote me a price until he has removed the transmission from the vehicle to inspect it...which will cost me $175 labor.

I told him he was a phallus, and he hung up on me.

Welcome to my world. So...does anyone here know how hard it is to swap out an A413 transmission on a Chrysler K-car? Maybe I can find a rebuilt one somewhere and put it in myself. I'm no stranger to car repairs. I can easily swap CV axles, replace motor mounts, and overhaul a simple engine while it's still in the vehicle.
