I installed new fel-pro Intake gaskets on a 1996 pontiac grand am 3.1 litre motor and torqued everything back to specs. Found out this wasnt the problem it is the head gaskets leaking. My question is if I pull this motor down again to install Head gaskets can I safely re-use the intake gaskets that I just bought and installed. set costs around 100 dollors. Thanks any experience will be helpful to me.

I drive a 1998 subaru legacy gt with 140,000 miles on it. I just bought it about a month ago. Just today it started shaking at speeds over 40mph. It's really bad at 70. The steering has been weird since I boght it. It pulls to the right (and sometimes to the left while breaking). Now, it kind of pulls itself wherever it feels like. We got a lot of snow today, and the ABS kicked in before I noticed a problem. (don't know if that has anything to do with it or not). I'm a broke college student with no mechanical ability. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think my battery might be diying. I don't want to pay $90 for the nissan dealer to tell me its not my alternator and just a battery. What symptoms of a dead battery appear? Or can it just die overnight?

We took the head off...tested it for warping (negative) and replaced the gaskets. Prior to replacing the gaskets, there was a LOT of white smoke coming out the muffler along with antifreeze. Now...we replaced the head gasket and there is still a LOT of white smoke coming out of the tailpipe. Is this because of all the water that was in there from before the repair...or is something else wrong?
