Depends on the year newer cars don't have distributors.

Maby a crack in the rotor or distributor cap...

This happened to someone I know. Their problem was that there was rust chips in the gas tank that would block the fuel line. They put in a new gas tank and problem was solved.

what year what model....does it have a distributor....questions nothing but questions...you don't pay by the word here...
