Depends, you may be able to find a 2006 on rebate, then again there may not be any 2006's left and you will have to settle for a 2007. Don't listen to the dee dee dee that said get a toyota rav4. Please if you are buying a SRT8 Jeep your not going to worry about gas mileage. And for the guy that said consumers reports? Right with their bias against anything american, nope. CR has no idea what they are talking about. Anything Jeep will kick the crap out of any jap suv on the trail. Thats why Jeeps are "Trail Rated"

well the thing is that if the jeep brakes down you can always just go anywhere and fix it for cheap money but bmw parts are going to be really expensive and not just anyone can fix it so the tow price could also be huge. both are great cars and if it was up to me id pick the jeep but its a hard decision good luck

Nah, the Toyota RAV4 V6 will run the pants of the SRT8. And get about 30 MPG on the highway as well. Horsepower is meaningless, it's power-to-weight ratio that matters.
Was definitely NOT impressed with the Jeep. Rough ride, terrible handling and guzzles gas like Paris Hilton guzzles ****.

Check some of the latest consumer guide info. You will find that the Jeep products don't necessarily rate that high among the all other brands for value and reliability.
