I thought if the alternater was bad, I would have problems when the truck was running. I am not getting this. I know it's either the battery or alternater, but I thought the way you figured out the difference was if it died when it was turned off then it was the battery and if it died when it was running it was the alternater. Or does the alternater pull charge from the battery and if the alt isn't working it won't pull anything from the battery. Can someone help me?

I have a 1978 motor home with a fiberglass body that I need to dispose of. This vehicle is not repairable so my thought was to take it to the salvage yard but they said "no way". They cannot dispose of the fiberglass body. I asked the local camper dealership. They have no suggestions. Any ideas?

not checked thermostat yet or coolant tank cap but levels are fine does the hot to cold dial/switch directly control that solenoid valve (the one under the windscreen)

I drive a 00 explorer, and when I try to open my locks, the gray rod sometimes get caught on the inside and wont open, it locks every time but sometime it gets caught on the inside, does anyone know what simple method I can use to fix it and If I do need a repair how much?

When I bought the car it carfax was clear but after 7 months I wanted to sell it. One of the buyer called me ask about the fram damage. I took the car to a fram shop and had it checked out and the shop said it fine. What can I do to fix or update the carfax report.

I am in need of 2 front tires. My car is 3 yrs old, with 19,000 miles on it. The front 2 tires are always low, and I am looking to replace them. What is a way I can check (myself) to see if I need all 4 new tires or just the 2, and is Costco a good place to get them at. I have never had these tires rotated (my bad), and I am just looking for some answers.

I do not know what to do, I mean the car is worth less than 2 grand, the damage is over 5 grand, the car was hit on my proberty, the kid was riding a stolen motorcycle ofcourse no insurance, is worth it to get a lawyer? the boy is still in the hospital is was driving with one arm because one was paralized from a previous time he stole a motorcycle. NOW is has a broken neck, leg, and lost use of other arm and lungs continue to fill up with blood.

it makes this squealing noise when i start it up.... its worse when its cold.....its when i turn the wheel and accelerate, its goes away after a little bit depending on how cold it is outside and the length of time my car sits, power steering fluid level is fine and the belts look really good and they are tight... any ideas? and costs of fixing?

I'm needing to replace the front and center in dash speaker and I'm not sure what all I have to do to get to it. I'm hoping it do'es not require taking the hole dash out. After looking under the dash in seems to be covered with the heater vent tube or something.

I've got a black Fiat Cinquecento 1994 L reg with 60,000 miles. My dad wants to get rid of it now that i've gone to university but i don't really want it to be scrapped as it holds a lot of sentimental value.
